Obama Offers His Latest Words For America

Here we have Barack Omama offering his latest words of encouragement for the American people as our financial system appears to be in meltdown. Actually, Omama just began his latest vacation.

While several of Europe's leaders cut short their holidays to address the current financial crisis facing their respective countries, barack is probably looking forward to his next round of golf and his latest twenty five-thousand dollar per plate fundraiser. It's great to have such a concerned leader - isn't it?

Final thought: I suppose the multitude of vacations aren't the real problem with Omama. It's the fact that he keeps coming back that worries me.

Stanley Thornton Jr. - gaming the Social Security system: I just read this ridiculous story on Jammie Wearing Fool. I had to read it three times to make sure I was getting the entire story correctly. I know there are some scams being perpetrated on the government but this one epitomizes the meaning of the words fraud and waste. BTW, Mr. Thornton AKA "baby man" has threatened to commit suicide should his SS benefits be cut off. Well fat-ass, here's my sage advice to you - knock yourself out! There are plenty of people in the USA with legitimate needs for SSI and SSA and posers such as yourself are keeping the truly needy from collecting benefits they really need. I'll provide the gun if you're serious.

From the story comes this - “Given that Mr. Thornton is able to determine what is appropriate attire and actions in public, drive himself to complete errands, design and custom-make baby furniture to support a 350-pound adult and run an Internet support group, it is possible that he has been improperly collecting disability benefits for a period of time,” Mr. Coburn wrote in a letter Monday to Inspector General Patrick P. O'Carroll Jr."

It seems a full grown (and at 350lbs I mean full grown) man is acting the part of a baby and getting paid for it by our Social Security System. RIP Steve G

Many years ago I had the pleasure of crossing paths with a young man named Steve at work. He was a fun loving and all-around good guy. We were employed in the same auto repair shop for about a year and then I moved on. At that point in time I had no clue I would never see him (alive) again.

I've said this before but I'll say it again. As people, we always think we have more time in life than there really is to do the things we should. So some twenty-eight years later I found out Steve was married to a good friend of my Sister's. They were good people and loving parents. Well, when I had a chance to look him up again just to say hi or share a beer, I never got around to it. To make a long story short he passed away around a week ago. I will always regret not taking the time to go and see him just for old time sakes.

Don't make the same mistake I made readers. You never know when when friend or family will be called home by the Holy Father. Don't put things off. Make time. I know Steve is in Paradise now and I will miss you and the good times we had many years ago. We most definitely partied hard. You've earned your eternal peace. Via Con Dios Steve. I'll see you again someday.

NPR - It's Time To Stand On Your Own

Today the House voted to cut off funding for National Public Radio. It's about time this happened. NPR has often made the ridiculous claims that it was politically neutral but a quick rundown of some of their editorials, reporters, and their statements and actions belie the fact. A quick fact check on one of the lead legal suits at NPR - Nina Totenberg will confirm theirs and her own personal bias/viewpoints are definitely to the left. But this is not the main complaint against NPR.

The question isn't if the NPR is biased in favor of the left/progressive movement in this Country. They are and it's not the problem. They have every right to a progressive viewpoint and to advocate their political leanings. That's the great thing about America. But what is pissing-off many Conservatives and Libertarians is the American taxpayer should NOT have to subsidise, via their taxes, political viewpoints they may, or may not, agree with. This runs along the same lines as the debates on PBS, abortions, the NEA and other government subsidised organizations.

There is also a taint of political correctness to the NPR that runs contrary to a free press. The firing of Jaun Williams over some statements he made when it came to his personal apprehensions about Muslims is an example. In an opposing vein, Nina Totenberg has made several statements about Christians and politicians that could be considered hateful, prejudiced, and sarcastic but she received no such rebuke or suspension.

Last December, Totenberg sarcastically apologized on the ai r for even saying the word Christmas with little or no rebuke with the exception of some popular conservative commentators and the FOX channel. Strangely enough, although Nina Totenberg is noted for being a sometimes controversial and often courageous commentator, she is not on record for making any controversial statements (as far as I know) about Islam or Muslims. I wonder why? Are you a coward Nina? No balls Nina? What's the story?

Totenberg also hinted/claimed that it would be “retributive justice” if the late Senator Jesse Helms (or one of his Grandchildren) were to acquire AIDS via a blood transfusion because of "justice" in the World and the personal political viewpoints of Helms. So - here we have Jaun Williams being fired by the NPR for his "insensitivity" in his Muslim remarks and yet Nina Totenberg was not repudiated or fired by the NPR for her screed against Helms or his innocent Grandchildren. A strange inconsistency from a group that prides itself on being sensitive and just.

This kind of hateful statement from Totenberg and hate filled viewpoints require more than just lip-service and smoke blowing from NPR to placate an angry public. This type of thinking requires the NPR start firing people and doing it quick. So now Congress has decided the NPR needs to stand on its own merits. Great and I agree. And I want no more of my taxes going to subsidise this organization when these are their viewpoints and attitudes.

Along with the NPR, the same complaints are often made about the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and many of their controversial "art" exhibits. Art, along with political viewpoints, is too subjective of a form of expression to force (via taxes) Americans of all political persuasions to support with their tax dollars.

For example: the tax supported work of the late Robert Mapplethorpe caused a controversy and uproar that still runs deep today. Many devout Catholics considered his work to be blasphemous and obscene and DID NOT want to help pay to exhibit his subjects. I also agree.

Along with the NEA, NPR, PBS, Planned Parenthood and several other organizations that come to mind, I feel it's time Americans were no longer forced to subsidize progressive organizations through tax dollars. After all - I seriously doubt that Michael Moore, Barbara Streisand, Danny Glover, Brian DePalma, Sean Penn or any other of the socialist nitwits in Hollywood want their hard earned (Capitalism anyone?) money going to support any right wing causes. I'm sure all of the Hollywood douchebags I mentioned above would agree with me. And to all of the organizations I mentioned in this little post it's time to stand or fall on your own.

Here's hoping this de-funding proposition happens as planned.

There are countless graves of American soldiers, marked and unmarked, young and old, men and women, Jew, Gentile and otherwise spread across Europe, Asia, and the rest of the world to prove the promise of America is no lie. Over and over America has shed Her blood to keep Europe and much of the world free. Can any Islamofacist make the same statement in reverse? We already know the answer.

Peter King is not the enemy of Islam. He is neither Joe McCarthy or Adolph Hitler. Muslims have more to fear from other Muslims than they ever will from a loyal patriotic American. Think about these factors - Sunni vs Shia, Persian vs Arab, Theocracy vs Secular vs Monarchy, history and current events prove these to be among the real problems with Islam, not the lies being told by progressives and anti-American groups allied with Islamofacism. The only thing Congressman King wants to expose is the truth. The far-left in American is out to exploit the problems of Muslim/American relations. That is the truth.

Message To Orca Oprah

A week or so ago Oprah Winfrey made some remarks about automatically respecting president Obama. Something along those lines. She claimed president Omama deserved "respect" just because he's president. I agree that the office of President does deserve respect. But not necessarily the person holding the office. Respect is something earned. It isn't just given away like a welfare check.

I'm Back (again)

I haven't been doing much in the way of blogging the last few months. I've gotten to the point where I have become literally speechless when it comes to Politics, Obama, lies and the rest of the bullshit coming from the demorats. Their lunacy and dishonesty have me extremely disgusted with most things political. Couple this to the fact that I was laid off from my job in December and I guess it's time to start my cyber-bitching once again.

And.... I finally got sick of IE 7 and the constant web crashes and all-around problems and went to Firefox for a REAL browser. After a couple of hours of web browsing with no crashes and all of my morph-gifs working great along with faster loading web pages I am here to tell the world that MS Internet Explorer 7 can kiss my ass. I won't even start on the POS that version MS Internet Explorer 8 is/was. After four or five successive versions of Internet Explorer improving, they screwed the pooch with IE 8. As Roberto Duran once said - "no mas, no mas".

Anyway, I am back to blogging as soon as I can find something new to bitch about. And in this day and age that should pose no problem.

CBS - Up To Their Old Tricks Again

Did CBS re-hire Mary Mapes for this little incident and not tell anyone? It sounds like the Lamers at CBS learned nothing from their past mistakes since they're repeating them again. Below is the CBS report/discussion video clip on the effectiveness of book Covers that started the latest round of criticism of their bias. What sweet irony that they decided to bring up "Decision Points", the new book authored by former President Bush and they tried to use a fake/malicious book cover to try and illustrate their point. It didn't take the blogging world and a few other objective pundits long to catch this "error" by CBS.

If you pause the CBS video below at the sixteen second mark you'll see another glaring example of the bias at CBS when it comes to George W Bush. The fake book cover appears as opposed to the legitimate cover CBS should have shown in their report. CBS is claiming it was a "mistake" and that's basically the only apology they make. Whoever posted up the fake cover also has a problem using the spell checker. Pay attention to the way decision is misspelled. This is exactly the type of journalism Bernard Goldberg was criticizing in his book "Bias" a few years back.

Isn't this kind of shit getting just a bit old. And once again we see why people are turning to FOX News in droves. They're sick and tired of this kind of reporting too. Somewhere Dan ~~Rather~~ Blather is having a big laugh.

Nope - I'm Not From Kalifornia... Really!

One more reason NOT to tell anyone you're from Kalifornia. This is why I never tell anyone when I'm out of State I'm from the Left Coast. For some reason they tend to think we're all this way. Either we're on drugs, hugging trees or bunnies or living in the forest and eating mushrooms.

Because of the Happy Meal toy ban and other dopey stuff the douchebags up in San Francisco have given us a terrible reputation down here in Baja Kalifornia and we really don't need any more help.

The whole state is infected with progressives and liberals. When the libs here get tired of the taxes and anti-business climate (yes - even some libs hate taxes) they tend to leave the state. The problem is they take their progressive agenda with them. This is why people from Kalifornia are so disliked up north and in other places where they tend to migrate. People in Washington State and Oregon call the people from here "Californicators".

So remember ... mum's the word and don't tell them you're from here or they'll hate you for it. Shhhhh.....

Is Hollywood getting so desperate that this is the best they can come up with for entertainment? And what would really not surprise me is; this show just might get very good ratings. The proposed show is coming from reality show guru Mark Burnett of Survivor fame. I can just imagine some of the other prison talent categories they can include along with singing and dancing. Some really cool ideas of mine are to follow below...

1. Shiv making competition - Who can make and hide the best knives in the slammer?
2. Hide the contraband - concealing drugs and the best places to do it in your cell.
3. Abuse the guards - how to best fuck with guards and not get solitary confinement.
4. Biggest liars - stories of how all prisoners are innocent and have been railroaded by the "man".
5. Rape competition - I think this is self-explanatory.
6. Bullshit the parole board - telling the best and biggest whoppers to get released early.
7. Gang competition - how to pit Latino, Black, and Caucasian gangs against each other in contests of skill and strength.
8. Chess Competition - the best Chess players I've ever played were ex-cons. True statement.

I could go on and on for days with my perverted ideas but I have a couple of tool boxes to move into the new shop I'm going to start working in and don't have enough hours to complete this list. But I think we all get the idea. I'm reminded of the movie "Running Man" with Arnold Schwarzenegger and the story line it featured. I wonder how long it will be before we get a Pay-Per-View show featuring a fight to the death or perhaps a live execution. Don't discount it. Marxine Waters Is Up To Her Old Tricks Again

Well it sure as hell didn't take too long for Marxine Waters of Kalifornia's 35th congressional district to factor in racism with the ethics charges she, along with Charlie Rangel, will be facing. It's almost a given that Marxine will see anything and everything through the prism of race. She's made a career out of this kind of bullshit and she's not going to change this late in life. She's made a very lucrative living out of blaming life's (and her problems) woes on White folks so why stop now. In the past Marxine has also suggested the probing of anyone who disagrees with her. I blogged on this very subject here and here last year. Once again, she has suggested investigating those who simply have the nerve to disagree with her and not because they have broken any laws. That's pretty scary to hear from a U.S. Congresswoman and it smells of Totalitarianism. Then again, consider that Marxine is a huge fan of the Castro brothers and the Cuban government.

She, along with the other professional race hustlers pictured on the "race card" above have betrayed the memory of Dr Martin Luther King over and over with their actions. With Marxine it's always about skin color and never about character. By tarring and smearing those who would investigate the dealings of her Husbands OneUnited Bank Waters is trying to intimidate the investigation. Even the ultra liberal Huffington Post, is questioning her ethics. From Congresswoman Waters, via the Huffington Post we have this quote: "The accusations against me stem from work I have done throughout my decades of public service as an advocate for minority communities and businesses in California and nationally" She's obviously trying to put a racial spin to what is basically a conflict of interest and her illegal activities on behalf of her Husband's bank.

Although several democrat party members have openly suggested Charlie Rangel retire or just plain go away rather than put the party through an ugly political scandal I have serious doubts they will do the same with Marxine Waters and her ethics scandal. I just don't think the democrats have the guts or integrity to do the right thing and challenge Marxine. Marxine is promising a fight and evidently doesn't give a shit how ugly or nasty things get. She's known to be a bully and use her political clout to have her way so she's not afraid of a political brawl. Is it possible Marxine could she have some dirt on some of the other members of congress? For whatever reasons it's obvious they are unable or unwilling to stand up to her.

Her crooked dealings with her Husband's bank and the conflict of interest charges are blatantly obvious but she's doing what she's made a career out of doing. And that method is to lay the blame on racism and mean old White guys. Her own racism has worked well all through her political career and she may just get away with the same shit again. It will be interesting and maybe even comical to see how she intends to defend the charges but it sure as hell won't be boring.

One has to remember this is the same douchebag who referred to the 1992 Los Angeles riots as a "rebellion" and called the rioters and murderers as "righteous". I wonder what she would have said were it her home burning down or her family being shot by the very same thugs she had the balls to call "righteous"? The racism in this case is Marxine's and hers alone. She owns it.

Anecdote About The 1992 Riots: I worked in a small auto repair shop in San Pedro in 1992 and we were located right next to the Rancho San Pedro housing projects. A lot of our customers were gang bangers and drug dealers. I could always tell who was selling crack by the way they paid their shop bills. I had one guy come in and pay for a $2500.00 engine job with a handfull of five, ten, and twenty dollar bills. And he wasn't the only one. I had another customer (Dodge City Crips) who was making trips back and forth to the riot areas in downtown Los Angeles and stealing malt liquor and womens hair pieces. He actually was taking orders from people and bringing back whatever they ordered. He asked me if there was anything I wanted since the cops were doing nothing to stop the looting. Of course I refused to place my order for goodies but he broght me back a case of Old English Malt Liquor (I gave it away) anyway. These are the people that Marxine called "righteous". Think about it.

Final Thoughts: Marxine isn't known as the sharpest member of the H.O.R. (she's actually considered pretty stupid) so it should be interesting to see her rationalizations and justifications about her Husband's questionable bank dealings. And once she gets off her "racism" talking points she won't have a leg to stand on and she KNOWS it.

We'll also get to see how much stomach the democrapic party leaders such as Nazi Pelousy have when it comes to holding the most "open ethical congress evah" accountable for their actions. My guess is she'll get a slap on the wrist. After all, one doesn't want Marxine calling them a racist. It's a technique she's used over and over with great success and she isn't going to abandon it now. After all - it's worked for her during her entire political career.

Off Topic but first: I just read on Yahoo that Derek Fisher will be staying with the Lakers next season. I found that good news for me as a fan and Derek as a player. He brings a stabilizing maturity to the Lakers that Kobe just doesn't provide. Thanks for sticking around Derek.

Why the "Slavery" title of my post? Because I found Jesse Jackson's comment today comparing Lebron James to a slave ridiculous. Lebron will make how much money next year? Excuse me Jesse, but in one season Lebron will probably earn more than myself, my entire family, and my small circle of friends will make in our entire lives and you have the stupidity to compare it to slavery.

I guess you can't help being a racist Jesse. Your entire career has been built on keeping racism alive and an open wound. It's provided you and your family with a wonderful living. Why stop now? Until you, Al Sharpton, and some of the other old-time race hustlers lay down and die and take your racism with you we will never get past the black/white issue in this country. You won't allow it. Fuck you Jesse. You've built your entire career on the coat-tails of MLK but you aren't fit to carry his hat.

Robert Byrd: 1917 - 2010

The title of this post should probably read RIP or something similar. But that's for someone else to write. I prefer to use the death and political career of Robert Byrd to try and score one of my favorite political talking points. And that talking point is the need for term limits. Term limits for our Senators and House Reps. A lifetime in public office is far too long.

Senator Byrd spent fifty-one of his ninety-two years in the U.S. Senate. And in my opinion that's thirty-nine years too many. Two six year terms in the Senate or six two year terms in the H.O.R. is enough for any man or woman to accomplish the goals they start out with. After that it becomes redundant.

Political family dynasties and congress members who serve for extremely long periods of time encourage corruption and poor representation. Fathers, Wives, Sons, Daughters, etc, swapping and holding seats in the House and Senate for year after year does not encourage a healthy Republic.

An example of a dynasty is the Kennedy family. They have ruled Massachusetts politics for over sixty years. Nearly three generations grew up thinking the seat in the Senate belonged to Ted Kennedy. It is still referred to as "Ted Kennedy's seat" in many political discussions. Well I have a news flash folks - the seat is currently occupied by Scott Brown or whoever the people of Massachusetts decide to elect. It should never be referred to as "belonging" to any one person.

When congress passed the twenty-second Amendment limiting to two terms the office of the Presidency it was for good reason. After being elected to four terms, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was to some (of that generation) the only President they had ever known. The office began to resemble something along the lines of being his as opposed to being an elected position. No politician should ever become so comfortable in politics. And - the Founding Father's original intention was for political office to be a public service and not a career.

Well Robert Byrd made his Senate service his career. The seat was his for the taking after serving for fifty-one years. And Byrd was accused more than once of using his position to punish political opponents who dared disagree with him. And being an incumbent makes it nearly impossible to vote out politicians no matter how corrupt they can and often do become. Political positions begin to resemble monarchy as opposed to elected office.

In his later years Senator Byrd was thought of as an "Elder Statesman" of the democratic party despite having been a member of the KKK as a younger man and having filibustered against the 1964 civil rights legislation the democrats now try and cloak themselves under. By and large it was with the support from the Republican party that passed the landmark bill. True bi-partisan support and not the fake bullshit Barry Omama drivels on and on about as he continues to divide America is NOT what we are currently seeing in congress or the Oval Office.

So before we deify him or place a crown of thorns on Robert Byrd's head remember what he represented and who he really was during his entire political career. He repudiated his time in the KKK because of political expediency as much as anything else. And we don't need to make him into some a political icon just because he lived to be ninety-one and tenaciously held on to his Senate seat for over half of his life. All I see here is a politically ambitious man who wielded too much power and served in the Senate for far too long. Term limits anyone?

There's Hope For Hollywood Yet

I've been severely critical of the pretentious and pseudo intellectuals of Hollywood many times in my blogging career and today will be no different. They are disgusting to say the least.

I find most of the libs to be stupid and blind in their support of dictators such as Hugo Chavez and the Castro Brothers. Astoundingly ignorant in their defense of Mumia Abu Jamal, a convicted cop killer. And they're outright perverted in tinsle-town when it comes to standing up for convicted pedophile Roman Polanski. The list of Hollywood scumbags who support the people I mentioned above include Oliver Stone, Sean Penn, Steven Spielberg, Danny Glover, Michael Moore, Tim Robbins, Brian DePalma, the two Rosies (O'Donnell and Barr) and I could go on and on. Their support of dictators, tyrants, and pedophiles is astounding. This brings up an open letter that Academy Award winning actor Jon Voight recently wrote to Barack Omama. I ran across the contents while reading the urban legends list at snopes.com. I found the letter to be honest, refreshing, and to the point about our president when it comes to the ugly anti-semitism that is becoming popular (again) with the phony intellectual set in Hollywood and the world. Mr Voight also refers to the current law in Arizona and Omama's hand in (once again) being a divisive force in America. If so, it just illustrates what many, including me, have said for years about the alternative fuel market and congress. You can't legislate innovation and henceforth clean air into existence. Kevin Costner of Hollywood fame is promoting an invention/device that is promising when it comes to separating oil and seawater. The device is currently undergoing what look to be successful tests and additional machines have been ordered. So far Costner has put his money where his mouth is... to the tune of fifteen million dollars. Seems like a far larger contribution than all of the phony Hollywood celebs and their bullshit PC causes have spent combined in the last twenty years or so. This will be so cool if it proves to work.

L.A. Vs Boston - The Sportswriters Are At It Again!

Here we go again with the sportswriters in L.A. and Boston. Once again, they're trying to get some extra shit going between Kevin Garnett and Pau Gasol. As if this series isn't going to be physical enough, the writers are doing their damnedest to get these two players involved a brawl. I call it the Conrad Dobler syndrome.

And if the writers can't bait Garnett they'll go after Kendick Perkins. Perkins has to be the biggest asshole with the nastiest attitude in the NBA. Has anyone ever seen him with anything but that shitty ugly scowl on his face? And he bitches about every call made by the refs. He never shuts the fuck up.. never! And for a guy who speaks and sounds like he just had a shot of Novocaine in his tongue that's quite an accomplishment.

Kendick is the kind of guy who'd throw rocks at Mother Teresa and piss in the Punchbowl at his high school (he didn't go to college) reunion. I can't stand the fucker. And, from what I've read, most of his fellow NBA players feel the same way. He was voted second a couple of years ago in a poll of NBA players on who is the most self-overrated player.

For a guy who is 6'10" every time Kendick slam dunks he acts like he's the first guy to ever jam the ball. You would think he invented sliced bread or something. And of course when he dunks on a player six inches shorter he usually talks smack - he's a real classy guy. Screw you Kendick!

I do have some last words of advice for Kendick Perkins - don't fuck with Ron Artest. You may come out on the shit end of that stick. And Andrew Bynum may have knee problems this year but he's back and I doubt he'll wanna put up with any of your shit. Don't pull your schoolyard bully bullshit on these guys. This isn't 2008.

And if the writers can't get Perkins to bite there's always.... Rasheed Wallace! I bet you readers thought I'd forgot about Rasheed. He's led the NBA in Technical fouls several times over the course of his career and probably has the shortest fuse in the NBA. The thing about Rasheed is - he is still a very good player. Not quite great anymore but still very very good. He worries me more than KG.

No matter what kind of crap the sportswriters try and instigate, this series doesn't need any additional shit-stirring. There is enough animosity between these two teams without the columnists adding anything to the mix. Dear Sportswriters: shut the fuck up and do your jobs! The Lakers and Celtics will supply the all of the necessary drama.

Just when you thought politicians couldn't get any stupider we get this gem about Armando Galarraga's non-perfect game the other night. It seems the politicians in the State of Michigan just can't keep their slimy little hands out of anything. Now they think they know better than a professional umpire when it comes to safe and out. And yes - I saw the call the other night and it stunk. But that's the beauty of instant replay and hindsight - it's always 20/20.

Not being content with fucking up their State and the USA, the politicians in Michigan now wanna start in on Baseball? I guess they weren't satisfied with assisting in the trashing of Detroit and the Auto industry so now it's on to fresh new ground. And I don't think it's a just a coincidence that this ridiculous and intrusive proposal is coming from a democrat(s).

Is nothing sacred to these douchebags? WTF are they gonna do next - review all of the close plays in the Superbowl games from the last thirty years and retroactively correct the outcomes? RIP John Wooden 1910 - 2010

UCLA Basketball coach John Wooden died today at the age of 99. He was considered by many to be the greatest coach in NCAA history. I share those sentiments. It's no coincidence that I stopped watching College hoops right around the time Coach Wooden retired. I just lost interest in College sports due to recruiting scandals, students who never seemed to be able to graduate with their classes (or even graduate at all) and what seemed like an overall lack of respect and/or values for the game.

At that time I also came to the conclusion that the the modern student/athlete programs are nothing more that a surrogate minor league system for Pro Basketball, Football, and to some extent, Major League Baseball. The scholarship system is complete waste of money and time and robs legitimate scholars of their chance at a great education. And of course the abuses that go hand in hand are disgusting.

But John Wooden was a throwback to an earlier era when coaches stressed grades, common sense values, and above all - respect. His students would be the first to concur. UCLA hasn't been the same since his retirement in 1975. The members of his Basketball teams read like a "who's who" of the NBA Hall Of Fame. RIP John Wooden.

Yeah yeah - I know. Everyone is doing these kind of shots now. So I guess it's time for me to put my two cents in.

I watch Bill O'Reilly most nights and especially enjoy the segments with Dennis Miller. Dennis often refers to United States A.G. Eric Holder as "Stedman". For those not in the know, Stedman is a reference to Oprah Winfrey's "boyfriend" Stedman Graham. And there is quite a resemblance between Holder and Graham. But I have another candidate for the "separated at birth" comparison. I'm talking about Ron Glass. Ron played Detective Ron Harris in the very funny seventies show Barney Miller. Los(t) Suns Have Set

I couldn't resist the little jab with the Spanish. Someone in the Suns organization made a lame attempt at politicizing the Western Conference Finals before it started and I felt that was inappropriate. This is/was Basketball and not the floor of the U.S. Senate or House of Representatives. Enough of the politics - the Lakers prevailed tonight on the Suns home court and that's good enough for me. Winning in Phoenix surprised the hell out of me.

Congratulations to Phoenix for a great series. The played their hearts out and came oh so close but the better team won. But no thanks to the officiating which thoroughly pissed me off last night. Not one close or disputed call went the Lakers way. The refs may as well have been wearing Suns jerseys. One call in particular - the flagrant foul on Sasha Vujacic against Goran Dragic was just plain shit. Sasha is an emotional player to say the least but his foul on Dragic was a flop by Dragic and nothing more. Can you say Academy Award Performance? But it got the Suns going and had the Lakers not been as tough as they are it could have cost them the game. After the flagrant foul was called Phoenix got hot and nearly eliminated an eighteen point lead (again) by the Lakers.

For years I have bitched about the NBA officiating because it stinks. There's a reason why having home court in the NBA playoffs is so important and it's the officiating - not the players. Teams don't get suddenly better because they're playing at home. The close calls almost always go in favor of the home teams and every basketball fan knows it. It's the NBA's dirty little secret (except it's no secret). I suppose the refs just get caught up in the crowd and the cheering and it seems to influence their calls. I hate it but there's nothing a road team can do but play through. And tonight the Lakers did exactly that.

Extra credit for tonight's win again goes to Kobe Bryant, Derek Fisher, Ron Artest. But kudos to the rest of the team for hanging tough and withstanding the near comeback by the Suns. A lesser team might have folded but tonight we saw why the Lakers are the NBA champs. Kobe made some of the most difficult and clutch shots in the last quarter I've ever seen him make. I'm sure it frustrated the hell out of Coach Alvin Gentry considering the tight and very good defense of his players had little effect on Kobe's shooting. Ron Artest also had a much better shooting night (25 points) and was especially effective in the first half with his three-point shooting. He once again played very strong defense.

And here are a few Ad hominem jabs at TNT's Marv Albert. His voice alone makes me want to puke. And (as with the refs) Marv was also wearing his Suns Jersey last night. I don't know why, but for some naive reason (silly me) I thought sportscasters were supposed to show at least some small bit of objectivity when calling games. Marv nearly shit in his pants every time the Suns hit a three-point shot or made a nice defensive stop. Doug Collins makes Marv Albert look like a fool when it comes to journalistic professionalism. And Marv, you need to retire the Toupee. That or least have a few gray hairs dyed into it. You're nearly seventy (68) now and the rich coffee colored brown rug isn't fooling anyone. Stevie Wonder could see through it.

And (like lots of Network and Cable sportscasters) like the other Laker haters calling NBA games across the league Marv was riding on the Phoenix bandwagon all night long until it became obviously apparent the Lakers were gonna win. Then the fucker started jabbering about what great players Kobe Bryant and the rest of the Lakers are. Marv and so many other sportscasters have been pulling this kind of shit for years when it comes to the Lakers. It makes me miss the late great Chick Hearn all the more. Marv and his bullshit make me want to shoot my television. And since Marv likes wearing women's underwear while biting ass he can smooch mine while he wears his finest pink panties. I promise not to fart. Damn - I can't stand his ass!

Now for the Boston Celtics: They are virtually the same team now as they were in 2008. That was the team kicked the shit out of the Lakers - especially in the last game of the finals that ended up being a thirty-nine point blowout. I fully expect the Lakers to play a much more physical game this time. I strongly suspect this is one of the reasons the Lakers acquired Ron Artest this year - Ron is known around the league as an enforcer. Without Andrew Bynum in 2008 the Celtics got away with pushing around Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. But that was then and this is now and I expect a different Laker team. If Artest (or Derek Fisher) have any close encounters with Kendrick Perkins or some of the other Celtic tough guys we may see some fisticuffs. Just a guess. Anyway, the series begins in L.A. on Thursday night. Time for some payback.

Dennis Hopper 1936 - 2010 RIP

Say what you want about Dennis Hopper. His binges were legendary and his running battle with authority caused him to nearly self destruct several times over. But he lived an interesting life and gave some wonderful performances. Among my favorites were the obvious ones such as Easy Rider, Apocalypse Now, An American Carol and Hoosiers, among others. And his portrayal of screen villians was quite good. He was quite a nasty little fellow in Kevin Costner's Waterworld, which is a movie I confess to actually enjoying. His mad bomber in Speed was excellent. Either way, whether playing a campy bad guy or a sympathetic character, Dennis was always enjoyable.

Earlier in life, he was just as famous for abusing drugs, alcohol, women, and just about anything and everything he could as he was for his screen performances. His redemption came about in the eighties when he finally got clean and sober and began living up to his potential.

I'm surprised at some of the posts I've been reading on the various websites and blogs. Most people don't even realize how long and varied a career Dennis had. On any given day you can find him among the actors on AMC and TCM cable channels. His career began in the fifties and continued almost to his last days. He also had a long list of television credits and also guest hosted SNL.

His political leanings were just as eclectic as his acting. As a young man he was an extremely far-left liberal. Late in life he became a born-again Conservative, twice voting for Ronald Reagan. He did confess to voting for Barack Obama in 2008 but considering he was suffering from Prostate Cancer he should be forgiven. RIP Dennis. You lived an interesting life and I enjoyed your work. What else can one ask for as an epitaph?

Whew! That Was Close... Too Close!

About a week and a half ago I posted my first comments on this year's NBA playoffs. Off course since I'm about twenty minutes down the 110 Freeway from the Staples Center you know where my allegiances lie. I have been a huge Laker fan for over forty years. I go back to the Jerry West/Elgin Baylor era.

In my earlier post I also came real close to making the stupid statement that Steve Nash was overrated. I was letting politics get in the way of critical thinking as far as Steve Nash is concerned because of his dumb comments on Arizona's new immigration law. I'm glad I kept my big fat mouth shut on that one. Last night Nash absolutely refused to let the Suns lose. It's as if he was trying to will a victory out of Phoenix. It's too bad the Lakers had a bit to say about the outcome because Steve (And the rest of the Suns) played his heart out. I will say this - Steve Nash has the ugliest two-handed shot in the league and travels damn near every time he drives in for a layup. But - he is deadly accurate with with that ugly little shot and nearly single-handedly beat the Lakers last night with that nasty little running jumper.

Straight up Phoenix should have won the game. If not for a very good team effort and hustling defense the Lakers would have lost. Teams don't usually give away seventeen point leads in playoff games and still win against a top quality team like the Suns. The Lakers dodged a bullet last night and everyone knows it. For about half of the game it look like L.A. had finally figured out the zone defense the Suns are playing. Unfortunately teams play two half's in the NBA and the Lakers slacked off in the second half.

So how did L.A. pull this one out of the fire? Credit Ron Artest with not giving up on rebounding Kobe Bryant's baseline jumper with three seconds left in the game. Artest pulled off the play of his career and saved what surely would have been a fourth loss in Phoenix and no NBA finals this year. Thanks to Ron Artest the Lakers are still very much in the picture.

For much of the game Ron looked lost. His outside shooting has been very streaky. Last night was a cold shooting night for Artest. He did play outstanding defense to make up for his shooting problems. But - with fifty-six seconds to play and a full twenty-four seconds on the shot clock Ron threw up a three point brick that had me screaming bloody murder. It led to a Suns rebound and plenty of time to tie and possibly win the game. It was a huge mistake on the part of Artest and came close to causing a loss and sending the series back to Phoenix and giving the Suns a chance to clinch at home. And the Suns would have done just that.

With the series now 3-2 in favor of the Lakers I have serious doubts the Lakers can take the sixth game in Arizona and clinch the West. And, as I have been bitching about for years, the calls NEVER go in favor of road teams in NBA games. I hate it but that's the way it is. The Lakers will have to go seven games if they can/will wrap up this series. They will not win in Phoenix. And to win in L.A. they will have to bring their very best A-Game to beat the pesky Suns.

I (or my Heart) can't take too many more of these dramatic endings. I'm no Spring Chicken and I'd like to survive to see the Finals. Hopefully for some payback against a (fast fading) Boston Celtics team who look to be aging right before our eyes as their series against Orlando goes to the sixth game. A week ago I was predicting a Boston sweep but the Orlando Magic have come back to life and shown why they're in the Eastern finals. But bear in mind though that no team has ever come back from being down three games to win a Conference finals series. Orlando has a chance to make history. They play tonight at six Western time.

Check out Ron's gutsy rebound and the final play of last night's game in the video below. In my opinion he saved the series for the Lakers. At least for the time being.

Great Moments In History Featuring The Heroic Exploits And Adventures Of Dick Blumenthal!

Senatorial candidate Richard Blumenthal has recently come under fire for ~~embellishing~~ lying about his record as a combat veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Here at the World Of Greasywrench we believe in setting the record straight about Blumenthal's service in the USMC.

When the Blumenthal for Senate campaign recently sent us this photo we decided to publish the pictorial evidence to prove once and for all that Dick is NOT a liar. So without further ado here is conclusive proof of Dick's military record. In clockwise rotation we can see Dick at various times and places proving once and for all he IS a combat veteran.

Senate democrats were overjoyed about the nomination of Blumenthal. Congressman Max Cleland, also a fellow Vietnam vet, reportedly said he "felt tingles up his legs" when the news became public. One democratic congresswoman was alleged to have "wee wee'd in her panties" at the thought of another valiant combat vet "just like John Kerry" representing the democratic party. John Kerry had no comment. Congresswoman Marxine Waters was quoted as saying "The face and reputation of ALL democrats is like Dick."

Time To Count Some Pre-Hatched Chickens

Alright - now on to some more serious matters... The Lakers vs The Suns. No it's not ~~Los Suns~~, it's The Suns. Screw it - they can call themselves whatever they want. In about a week or so it's gonna be the setting Suns. Here's hoping I won't be eating this post (and some crow) in a week or ten days.

I do believe these are the best two teams left in the West. Without Yao the Rockets this season never had a chance. The Mavericks are over achievers. The once great Spurs are now old. And the Lakers are what they are - the best in the Western Conference. They're peaking at the right time and for the most part are healthy. Kobe has some issues with his finger and Andrew Bynum has a knee problem but otherwise things look good. After eighty-two games and the first two series the Lakers look sharp. I hope the week off didn't dull the edge. I was actually quite surprised at the sweep of the Jazz.

Whoever wins this series will have to most likely face the Celtics. And no - I'm not using the hindsight of the first game against Orlando as a benchmark. I also think Doc Rivers can and will out-coach Stan Van Gundy any day of the week. I had a feeling the Celts would end up on top of the East if they stayed healthy. I said this last season before the playoffs. I do believe Orlando is a pretender (along with Cleveland) and I said it. The Celts play a team defense that no one in the East can match. Boston also out hustles ALL the other teams in the NBA from what I have seen. That includes the Lakers and most of the Western Conference teams. But on paper the Lakers are definitely number one. Now if we can only get these games played on a sheet of paper.

Should the Lakers prevail against Phoenix and meet Boston they are virtually the exact same teams that played in the finals two years ago. The difference being the Lakers are healthy this time. The Lakers have home court advantage and that (as I have said many times) will make all the difference in the world. I hate the way calls go in the NBA when teams are at home. They referees are anything but consistent but that's the way it is. Home court teams ALWAYS get the calls and everyone knows it. The next two series will be no different. Of course I'm getting ahead of myself again so lets get the Suns out of the way and hope the Celts can do the same with the Magic. Then It's time for some payback.

In the eyes of the far-left, no matter how much Conservatives object to the nomination of Kagan based on her tenure at Harvard or her lack of actual Judicial experience, it's really a perception of her sexuality. Now I'm really gonna go out on a limb here and shock the few readers I have and make an announcement - I'm a Lesbian! When I say that I'm a Lesbian think of the movie Spartacus and the scene when Roman General Crassus asks the defeated slave army to roll over and give up the living or dead body of Spartacus. All the slaves stand up and proclaim "I'm Spartacus". It's one of the great scenes in movie history and is actually able to generate a man-tear out of me. No one I know who is a true Conservative would ever discriminate against Kagan on the issue of sexual preference. Ever!

Now why am I calling myself a Lesbian? It's probably because, as with Lesbians, I love women in a physical and emotional sense. I prefer a woman as a lover and I married a woman. And I don't sleep or have sex with men - only women. Since this is the case "I'm A Lesbian" and my sexual choices are my business. And whatever her sexual orientation, it's also the personal business of Elena Kagan and not any of mine.

But what IS my business is her record and political orientation. She IS is a liberal with what appears to be an overt disrespect (typical?) of our Men and Women in the Military. And I will discriminate against her on that basis. As an American I have the right.

We might get a mix of Geraldo Rivera, Alan Colmes, Great Van Susteren, among others who are NOT conservatives but are always willing to debate the latest headlines with those of an opposite viewpoint. The FOX channel has every right to claim to be "fair and balanced" as far as their reporting goes.

What you WON'T see is the frauds such as Keith Olbermann, Andrea Mitchell and Christine Matthews from CNN, PMS-NBC and other far-left channels actually going toe to toe with someone other than another far-left progressive. It's been a few years since someone was a big and steamy enough Turd to earn one of these coveted awards but a worthy recipient has emerged. Nazi Pelousy is this year's first honoree. Hey - it's award season.

And what qualifies Nazi for the prestigious trophy? It's her arrogant and condescending dismissal of the wishes of a majority of the American people. Ms Pelousy wrongly assumes that a democrat majority in the House and Senate gives Congress Carte Blanche to do whatever they wish when it comes to the American citizens. This includes cramming a healthcare vote down our throats that poll after poll after poll show we DO NOT want. The difference in polling numbers varies and is not huge but it IS a message that the Pelousy and the democrats aren't listening to. It will probably cost them their House of Representatives majority in November. Losing the Senate is also a distinct possibility.

And the rationale of Nazi Pelousy and the democrats in shoving this issue down our throats is we'll learn to love healthcare eventually. Excuse me, but I was under the naive assumption that bills and legislation passing through the House and Senate were supposed to have the support of the American people before becoming law. Silly me. I suppose that I, along with a hundred-million or so voters just aren't smart enough to know what's good for us.

Many idiots such as Canadian David Rothkopf on the far-left have gone on record saying that Americans just aren't smart enough to understand a complex issue such as healthcare. You have to wonder if Rothkopf even has a clue considering New Foundland Premiere Danny Williams recently went to Miami for his surgery. Williams was eloquently quoted as saying "This was my heart, my choice and my health". So how IS that Socialized medicine thing working out for you guys up there? Ask Danny Williams.

With Congress and Obama on track to bankrupt the USA I wonder how long it will be before Social Security and other entitlement recipients start getting IOU's in lieu of their monthly payments. And please don't laugh about the IOU situation. Being from Kalifornia I speak from experience. My 1987 State of Kalifornia tax refund came as an IOU, or as Kalifornia referred to them as a "registered warrants". In 2009 it happened again here in Kalifornia and may be a distinct possibility on a national level if the progressives have their way. We will/may reach a tipping point soon if healthcare legislation is passed.

And speaking of cramming legislation down our throats, what's next on the wish list of democrats? How about Immigration Reform and the now discredited AGW stepchild - Crap And Trade. Two years ago the American people made their wishes known on Immigration reform and for once Congress listened. Will they do it again? Considering their (as of now) majority in both houses it's doubtful - hence the rush to get these bills passed before the American electorate votes out the Democrat majority. I have a feeling Crap And Trade will rear its ugly head before it's all over, even with the Climate Change advocates being discredited on a daily basis. We need to speak up again. Here's the latest video to go viral on the Web in the last two days. We have an older man (sixty-seven) vs a younger fellow who fucked with someone he shouldn't have. The old guy is named Tom Bruso and he served two years in Vietnam. Don't know much about the younger one other than he should have just let the old Leatherneck walk away when he had the chance. Instead, the young guy got back in Bruso's face and let his mouth write a check his ass couldn't cash.

This story is still unfolding and I will post more as it is available. Being that I'm fifty-six, I can't/won't attempt to hide my sympathies here. There is so much disrespect for the Senior Citizens in the U.S.A. and this Vet (USMC) Tom Bruso made my heart soar. Durham, N.C. — Durham police late Wednesday arrested the woman who four years ago falsely accused three Duke University lacrosse players of raping her.
Crystal Mangum assaulted her boyfriend, set his clothes on fire in a bathtub and threatened to stab him, investigators said."

The she in this case is Crystal Gail Mangum. To refresh your memory think North Carolina, Duke University, Lacrosse, and Rape. Are you with me now? She has been arrested in Duke once again. I can't think of much else to say other than what I posted two years ago.

Recap: Ms. Mangum, Eighty-Eight Professors at Duke University, and District Attorney Mike Nifong came very close to destroying the lives of four innocent men with a trumped up Rape charge nearly four years ago. All during this sleazy incident, Nifong had exculpatory evidence that would have exonerated these young men. Opponents of Nifong speculated he hid the evidence to further his run for re-election for District Attorney. In June of 2007 Nifong was disbarred because of his actions.

It's pretty obvious this woman has some serious drug, alcohol, and mental issues and may very well end up on a future episode of C.O.P.S. Here's hoping she doesn't do fatal damage to her innocent children or someone else along the way. It's interesting that Vincent Clark, her book publisher, spun the story into a "she's been the victim" type of response. Get some help Crystal.

Excuse me Tiger - but you owe no statements or apologies to anyone other than your Wife, Children, and your immediate family. Hyper-sexuality AKA "Sex Addiction" by its current trendy name is hard-wired into most men and some women. How in the fuck (pun intended) can Psychologists define it if they can't even agree what IS a normal sex drive in Humans. Sex drives vary tremendously. It's totally subjective. If it's a disease, it's because the powers that be in the medical community want it labeled so in order to have insurance companies foot the bill for the treatment. A generation or so ago we'd be calling Tiger a philanderer or a horn dog. He no more has a disease than a Pig flies. And no more groveling for your fans!

Tiger - you should have never gotten married. That's where you fucked up. If you're gonna grovel and scrape before anyone it should be the woman you married. You did her wrong - not me or anyone on the PGA tour or the public. If you can't stay faithful then the best thing to do is divorce her and relapse. If this sounds cynical too bad. You owe it to yourself to be honest about your condition. Do the right thing and divorce her. Then give her the settlement she has coming and get on with your nocturnal adventures. And quit groveling!

But - I would suggest you head to the sperm bank and make a large deposit in case you want more children in the future. Then run, and I mean run to a clinic and get yourself a vasectomy. It won't protect you from STD's but it just might protect you from the obvious multitude of Gold Diggers who will surely emerge from the woodworks in the future. If you can't keep the old putter in your pants, at least protect yourself from Paternity lawsuits. And stop groveling for the cameras.

BTW, you were never a role model for me. It's been a pleasure to watch your work on the golf courses of the World but athletes just don't qualify as role models. Many, if not most, have feet of clay. One would think that the suits in charge at the Old Grey Bitch would have learned their lesson after Maureen Dowd borrowed a few articles last year and of course, the Jayson Blair fiasco.

All sorts of people, with very different notions about what is or is not fair, can be mobilized behind this nice-sounding word, in utter disregard of the fact that they mean very different things when they use that word.

Some years ago, for example, there was a big outcry that various mental tests used for college admissions or for employment were biased and “unfair” to many individuals or groups. Fortunately there was one voice of sanity— David Riesman, I believe— who said: “The tests are not unfair. LIFE is unfair and the tests measure the results.”
If by “fair” you mean everyone having the same odds for achieving success, then life has never been anywhere close to being fair, anywhere or at any time. If you stop and think about it (however old-fashioned that may seem), it is hard even to conceive of how life could possibly be fair in that sense.

Even within the same family, among children born to the same parents and raised under the same roof, the first-borns on average have higher IQs than their brothers and sisters, and usually achieve more in life. Unfairness is often blamed on somebody, even if only on “society.” But whose fault is it if you were not the first born? Since some groups have more children than others, a higher percentage of the next generation will be first-borns in groups that have smaller families, so such groups have an advantage over other groups.

Despite all the sound and fury generated in controversies over whether different groups have different genetic potential, even if they all have identical genetic potential the outcomes can still differ if they have different birth rates. Twins have average IQs several points lower than children born singly. Whether that is due to having to share resources in the womb or having to share parents’ attention after birth, the fact is what it is— and it certainly is not fair.

Many people fail to see the fundamental difference between saying that a particular thing— whether a mental test or an institution— is conveying a difference that already exists or is creating a difference that would not exist otherwise. Creating a difference that would not exist otherwise is discrimination, and something can be done about that. But, in recent times, virtually any disparity in outcomes is almost automatically blamed on discrimination, despite the incredible range of other reasons for disparities between individuals and groups.

Nature’s discrimination completely dwarfs man’s discrimination. Geography alone makes equal chances virtually impossible. The geographic advantages of Western Europe over Eastern Europe— in climate and navigable waterways, among other things— have led to centuries of differences in income levels that were greater than income differences between blacks and whites in America today.

Just the fact that the lay of the land is different in different parts of Europe meant that it was easier for the Roman legions to invade Western Europe. This meant that Western Europeans had the advantages of the most advanced civilization in Europe at that time. Moreover, because Roman letters were used in Western Europe, the languages of that region had written versions centuries before the Slavic languages of Eastern Europe did. The difference between literacy and illiteracy is a huge difference, and it remained huge for centuries. Was it the Slavs’ fault that the Romans did not want to climb over so many mountains to get to them?

To those living in Western Europe in the days of the Roman Empire, the idea of being conquered, and many slaughtered, by the Romans probably had no great appeal. But their descendants would benefit from their bad luck. And that doesn’t seem fair either."

As I have said many times: the only thing that should be even is the starting line. After that you're on your own. Competition is what made America great - not a "level playing field". We've forgotten that.

Eco-Terrorist Paul Watson - Part Deux

In an earlier post I flamed Paul Watson and the Sea Shepard group for doing more harm than doing good when it comes to stopping fake research of the Minke Whales via the hunts by the Japanese. I don't condone the killing of Whales for any reason - but Paul Watson and his merry boatload of tree huggers are a death waiting to happen.

Well it seems the Matronly looking Watson and his high seas hippie buddies are at it again (or did they really ever stop) with the Japanese Whalers. They have been throwing jars of rancid butter (again) at the Whalers in an attempt to spoil the "research" and Whale meat. They've also tried to foul the props of the Japanese boats by laying down cable in front of the boat's paths. Couple that with the very dangerous maneuver last month by the Andy Gill of cutting in front of the Bows of the Whaling ships and you have a recipe for disaster.

It's interesting that the throwing of things like pies, tomatoes, stink bombs, and tantrums seem to be a favorite tactic of far-left groups. Much like infants when they don't get their way, the people of the Sea Shepard employ the childish tactics of ten-year old children.

From what I have researched on Watson he's been repudiated by many in the Animal Rights community for his actions. I've also found an interesting link that provides some evidence that Watson, by his actions, has actually done more to harm some of the animals (fur seals) that he claims to be helping. Also he's doing more harm to the various Animal Rights groups that he is actually claiming to help. From Yahoo comes the latest incident in the Antarctic Ocean.

Watson, IMHO, is a very scary thing - a Leftist with a cause and enough misguided people who keep him supplied with money and publicity. Couple that with his tactics which include lying and fabricating statistics in order to justify his recklessness and lack of concern for Human life. As I said in my earlier post - he is almost certainly going to get someone killed. It's only a matter of time.

In a related story two members of Greenpeace are facing trial in Tokyo for their efforts to expose corruption in the Japanese Whaling industry.

RIP Captain Phil Harris

I just read this on Yahoo and wish to express condolences to all who fished with and knew Captain Phil Harris. RIP.

I've been a big fan of the Deadliest Catch since the show first aired several years ago. Anyone who watches this series will probably have their favorite boat/Captain. Mine are Phil Harris and Sig Hansen. Captain Phil passed away Tuesday night after suffering a stroke on January 29th. He was a tough, old school type of guy and will certainly be missed by all.

Paul Watson - Wanted For Murder! (any day now)

No, the crime of murder hasn't occurred yet... but give it time. The man pictured on the upper-left (Paul Watson) and his irresponsible behavior is almost certain to cause the death of someone on the high seas sooner or later. It's only a matter of time. I'm talking about the actions of a lunatic whose taunting and confrontational actions with Japanese whalers will almost certainly cause the death of a Whaler, one of his crew, or perhaps even himself. His tactics are, to say the least, extremely dangerous.

I will say this: I am totally AGAINST the hunting of Whales for food. I don't support the killing of Whales of any species including for the fake studies claimed by the Japanese unless it involves research increasing their numbers or preventing them being endangered. Maybe my position is surprising considering I'm a self-described Conservative/Libertarian but I do enjoy (I own three cats) and love and appreciate animals. But... this man Watson is on a collision course to get someone killed and he doesn't seem to give a shit whether it's friend or foe.

I've watched a couple of episodes of Whale Wars and the arrogance of Paul Watson is appalling. His self-righteous attitude reminds me of some of today's politicians. Don't question anything and just do what's good for you and what you're told. I'm sure he believes that the end justifies the means. I wonder if he'll feel the same after his actions cause the death of someone?

Many of the people in the Sea Shepherd/Animal Rights groups want humans to become vegetarians. I've also read stories of the Vegan movement wanting to make pure carnivores such as dogs and cats into vegetarians. That's totally fucking ridiculous. It's also a deluded view of biology and animal behavior. Try feeding a dog or cat salads for a month and see how long they live. As with many on the far-left, their goals are NOT based on reality.

Final Thoughts: We can be good stewards of the world's animals and food supply and still be environmentally aware. As I stated above, I enjoy animals. I also enjoy a nice steak or fish and chips. An occasional serving of bacon is great. My point being that when it comes to the food chain Humans are at the top - something that environmentalists seem to have forgotten. Now it's off to my kitchen for some leftover Chile Verde made with Pork Shoulder. Eat that Paul!

It's a cold rainy day here in the South Bay of Los Angeles. I eagerly await Sunday and the Superbowl but have been spending this morning reading various blogs about things more important than a football game. I've visited the sites of Frontpagemag, Hotair, Jammiewearingfool, Red Alerts (yes - I am a born again Conservative) among other blogs and wonder why the World, with the exception of the Conservative sites mentioned above, has abandoned these Women to the murderous hands of Islamic fundamentalists. Is this an issue of Humanity or Religion? I think all decent people know the answer to that question.

Honor my Ass! From JammieWearingFool's weblog come the stories of Muslim Honor killings that make me want to scream out "how can these men be allowed to exist and do these horrible things to women"? Where are the voices of NOW, Code Pink, and other feminist groups? I read the stories of these "honor killings" and then they (along with the lives of these women and children) disappear from the web. What a mockery of such a meaningful word as "honor". How can a religion so pervert the minds of Men that they violate one of the fundamental precepts of humanity and kill their children and wives - all in the name of Allah? Who will speak up for these victims of fundamentalist Islamic murderers?

I realize I've done nothing more here but raise a series of questions but what else can one do? While the world continues to fall all over themselves insisting Islam is a religion of peace these kind of killings continue on a regular basis. Some have even occurred here in the U.S., but have been to a large part been ignored by the Lame Stream Media. How long will Humanity continue to justify and rationalize the murders of the most vulnerable ones of all - women and children? When are we going to reach a tipping point? I get sick and pissed-off every time I read these stories. Don't let these women and children be ignored or forgotten.

The Hags Bags Frauds of NOW Are Exposed (again)

The far-left in general and the feminists of NOW in particular have gotten themselves worked up to a frenzy over the Tim Tebow spot that will appear in this Sunday's Superbowl Ad lineup. If the fake feminists and so-called pro-choice advocates ever had any credibility in the past, they've shredded the last few layers over this Sunday's Ad. Tim Tebow's Mother did exactly what NOW supposedly advocates and made a choice twenty-three years ago. She chose life at the risk of her own. And the hypocrites of NOW, along with other far-left advocates of abortion are upset about it. It's a case of the tail chases dog or something.

I suggest the people who support abortion be intellectually honest and change their moniker to Pro-Death. At least they would have some credibility. Consider how one side calls itself Pro-Life and the opposite group refers to itself as Pro-Choice (as opposed to Pro-Death) which would be more accurate.

Have the Hags of NOW had a sneak preview of the commercial? If so, then they need to re-brand themselves the movement of Pro-Abortion instead of Pro-Choice. Tim Tebow's Mother chose life and it has them going crazy. WTF! She made a choice you assholes! Now have some integrity and support her or else STFU! It's your logic - not mine.

And if they haven't seen the ad then it's just a simple case of not believing in the First Amendment since they don't want the ad shown at all. Don't bother with presenting a logical argument - just stop the debate completely! Don't allow any dissenting viewpoints. How about burning a few books while you're at it?

Once again - this is their logic, not mine. Either way one looks at the situation, the feminists and far-left once again end up looking like assholes and hypocrites with their Pretzel Logic working at full speed.

Final thoughts: it doesn't matter if you're Pro-life or Pro-Choice - the progressives and feminists are making complete fools out of themselves on this issue. It's a Sarah Palin redux all over again. Here's a Woman who played by their (feminists) rules and they repudiate her.

Choice my ass! It's all about politics and you phonies know it! At least have the balls (or ovaries) to admit it and maybe, just maybe, you can regain a little credibility. I won't hold my breath until it happens.

This is the equivalent of the late Robert Mapplethorpe and the NEA grants that allowed his extremely controversial exhibits depicting Golden Showers and Gay men... all on the taxpayers dime. If Michael Moore's crocumentaries can't stand on their own merits why should the Taxpayers of Michigan subsidize them? The next time Michael needs a few bucks for one of his "fake but true" movies I suggest he should apply to his hero Raul Castro of Cuba. Michigan is nearly bankrupt and getting broker by the day thanks to the collapse of the Auto industry. No hypocrisy here. Just move along.

These assholes didn't offer up any solutions - just the wistful longing for more violence and disruption. But hey - isn't that what Anarchists are all about? No answers - just a longing for the "good ole days". Bill Ayers would have been proud. And BTW, shouldn't these jerks be stealing each other's books instead of paying for them? The idiots in Sacramento are off and running again. They've decided there's too much free parking in the land of fruits and nuts and they intend to do something about it. And it's all under the guise of preventing pollution and traffic jams. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and bet there's a few bucks in it for the State coffers if these assholes have their way. It's another surreptitious grab at our pocketbooks. Living here in San Pedro is a great example of what happens to a business district when there's no parking. People go do their shopping elsewhere. It's not rocket science. I would much rather drive ten miles to Torrance, park for free and shop at the Del Amo mall than risk a forty-dollar parking ticket here. Downtown San Pedro is a ghost town when it comes to shopping. And a huge reason is there is very little parking - free or otherwise. No wonder the state of Kalifornia is bleeding red ink. And they still don't get it. And the last noise one hears will be a "huge sucking sound" (thanks Ross Perot) as more businesses leave the Left Coast.

BTW, I've fished in the L.A. Harbor dozens of times and it's cleaner now than it was back in the sixties. Back in 1966, the water was so dirty you could walk across the one mile stretch between Terminal Island and the Ferry Building here in San Pedro. It's much better now IMHO. I still won't eat the fish though. Now that was "Dirty Water".

Now that we know what to expect when trying Terrorists in Criminal courts perhaps we should find a way to force Eric Holder and Omama to endure the actual court proceedings in lieu of Impeachment. Since they're not busy protecting American interests they should have the extra time to attend.

Doesn't the "buck stop here" with Obama? That's what he's been quoted as saying. Well here's a chance to back your play Mr President since you want these scumbags from the land of sand to be afforded full Constitutional rights. I doubt you'll have a comment on this tonight in your SOTU address.

Off With Their Heads! Islamofacists Are At It Again!

COPENHAGEN (AP) - "A Somali man was charged Saturday with two counts of attempted murder for an attack on a Danish artist whose 2005 cartoon of the Prophet Muhammad ignited riots and outrage across the Muslim world, authorities said."

In symbolic support of Danish artist Kurt Westergaard I would like to re-post the cartoon that may someday cost him his life. The depiction of Blowhammad (above/left) with a bomb on his head has forced the artist into hiding (again). Perhaps it would have been more acceptable to Muslims if Westergaard had drawn Blowhammad trolling near the local nursery schools in search of his next Bride. The cartoon was first published in 2005. Then, as now, I eagerly await the World's "Moderate Muslims" to speak out against violence and Muslim fanatics.

According to the article "Westergaard has received previous death threats and was the subject of an alleged assassination plot." The bold Somali assailant in the story below was armed with a knife and an axe in anticipation of killing the seventy-four year old Westergaard. Besides being a religion of hate, Misogyny and intolerance, the Islamofacists are some of the world's great bullies. A twenty-eight year old vs seventy-four year old man isn't exactly what I would call a fair fight, or as the libs love to say, "happening on an even playing field".

Just WTF is wrong with Islam? The Muslims don't seem to be able to understand the concept of free speech or Religious freedom no matter where they immigrate. In Denmark, as with so many other countries of the West, the Muslim immigrants arrive at their host countries and expect the native citizens, along with their Religions, to adapt to the laws of Sharia and Islam. It doesn't matter where they live in Europe, the Muslims can't seem to get along with anyone - including other Muslims of different sects. The conflicts between Sunni and Shia Muslims has been responsible for Muslim on Muslim deaths by the thousands, if not millions. Is there a peaceful answer to a religion that seems determined to dominate, if not destroy any other culture or people other than its own?

Some World leaders have claimed: the Islamofacists are just a small minority that have hijacked Islam to rationalize and justify murder and intolerance therefore allowing those same leaders to avoid a head-on confrontation with Muslims. But mostly we have PC groveling and kow-towing on an international scale by our leaders. It's called Dhimmitude. If this is the case it can only end one way - either with the destruction of Islam or the world's other great religions. The intolerance of Muslim fanatics won't allow any other solution.

The first step to solving any problem is to admit you have one. If the World's leaders won't admit we have one when it comes to the intolerance of Islam and Muslims then when and where is the solution? It's not rocket science.

Domestic Violence - There Is No Excuse...EVER!

My good friend Brett at Burning Toast, who's a fellow Conservative, Rocker, blogger, and all-around good guy sent me an email with a link yesterday concerning a horrible tragedy. It hit him close to home because it was something that happened to a family of a friend. It concerns a case of domestic violence taken to a horrible conclusion. Children were also victimized here and that makes it an even worse kind of Hell.

I don't want to sound like I'm on my soapbox but maybe we've become a little too insulated to personal tragedy because of the constant barrage of violence in our culture, games, and in our entertainment. But when it happens to someone you know it really hits home. Please read the links above and below to learn more.

This tragic story isn't just another future episode of COPS. It happened to the family of a friend of a friend of mine and it was ugly. Maybe it's become a cliche in our violent society but there is never an excuse for domestic violence. In my life I have learned one thing - domestic violence almost always escalates and the results are very often tragic. Read more below and pray for this family.

Today's Palate Cleanser... Or Is It?

Russia is contemplating altering the course of an Asteroid that may be heading towards Earth by targeting it with Nukes. Here's hoping they don't send Ben Affleck to do the job. I would hate to have my life, and more so, the lives of my Children dependent on a liberal since it's not working out too well here on Earth these days.

Of course I'm referring to the movie Armageddon when I invoked the name of Ben Affleck. I confess I enjoyed the film but according to Dumb Movie Physics, one of my favorite sites that deals with scientific fact vs error, Armageddon is one of the worst movies ever made when it comes to fact. Read their review of some of Hollywood's best and worst here to get some real facts.

Good luck to the Russians with their endeavor. From what we learned after the fall of the former Soviet Union, they weren't so spot-on when it came to accuracy with their ICBM technology. Last week (December 23) Senator Max Baucus gave a speech on the Senate floor and I ask that you judge for yourself if there's something wrong with him. I don't care of Baucus is drunk, high on Quaalude, Rainbows, or Reds. This man is writing and passing legislation and this is how he presents himself? I'd like to wish A hearty Christmas "Kiss My Ass" to America's libs, progressives, democraps, and Washington Politicians for giving us the Healthcare Bill we are going to receive for Christmas in 2009. BTW, I will no longer capitalize the word democrat for obvious reasons. They just don't deserve the respect.

To those in the Senate who supported this POS legislation - a large majority of Americans didn't want this bill passed and you chose to ignore them and rammed it through anyway. It will cost ~~billions~~ trillions we can't afford. You've lied, bribed, and outright bought the votes of your fellow Dems in order to get it through the Senate. You've also fucked over the American Medical Profession by passing this monstrosity and then trotted out a worthless endorsement of the AMA.

The truth is; this bill is not about healthcare - it's a blatant power grab by democrat politicians. It's a surreptitious attempt at recruiting the next generation of democrat voters by defacto enslaving them to entitlement programs and welfare schemes for life! Lyndon Johnson did the same thing in 1965 with his "Great Society" programs thereby assuring the Democrats of a huge voting block of Senior Citizens and African-Americans for generations to come. And we all know how the "Great Society" worked out for Black Americans. The government encouraged welfare over work and in the process helped destroy millions of Black families. Ask anyone from Detroit how the "Great Society" worked out for them. Just one more gift from the democrat Party.

And the gravy on the taters is the bill is in all likelyhood Unconstitutional... and you liberals know it! That shows how little respect you have for the oath of office you douchebags took when you were sworn in. You swore to uphold the Constitution - not trash it! If your fellow Senators had any integrity or values many of you so-called leaders would be facing impeachment instead of a lovely Christmas holiday.

Another kernel of corn in this Turd of a program is the benefits won't kick in for another five years even though the taxes begin next year. That gives Obama and the dems a great way to cook the books and claim it has a negative effect on the huge deficit in the budget. And President Obama also promised the bill would not be used to treat illegal aliens. To quote Joe Wilson, a great Republican politician from South Carolina - "YOU LIE".

So... here on The World Of Greasywrench, I'd like to reciprocate by giving an appropriate gift to the dems and liberals. I'll do my best to make sure every liberal fool and halfwit who supported this bill wakes up tomorrow to find my thoughtful present (see photo above) under their Christmas Tree. This very revealing video below has been making the rounds on the web the last few days. If, after watching and listening to the lessons of this video you're still convinced that the Democratic Party has the best interest of America at heart, you're either blind or stupid.

To be fair, mismanagement from the executives of General Motors, Chrysler, and Ford, along with the greed of the UAW also played a major hand in the death of Detroit. But pay attention to the Democratic Party and their entitlement programs and the role they played in destroying what was once a great American city. The late Coleman Young, former Mayor of Detroit and his racist politics also deserve a huge share of the blame. The sad irony is Detroit was a Democratic stronghold - and still is. And the Democratic Party is now attempting to do the same thing to America as they did to Detroit via the Healthcare Bill.

And on the eve before the Democrats in the Senate vote for a huge Federal takeover of a major part of the U.S. economy, consider the parallel of what has happened in Motown. The city is a virtual ghost town because of Federal entitlement programs and Union demands that ultimately destroyed the city. Can it happen on a National level? You bet it can.

The Healthcare Bill the Senate is on the verge of passing is a huge turd that's rolling downhill. And it will only gather up speed and stink as it progresses. Watch the video below. We have been given an outstanding example of blatant political corruption through the kickbacks and bribery Harry Reid and the Democratic Party have bestowed on Nebraska, Florida, and Arkansas, among others by the process of buying votes.

Once again, with the the Healthcare Bill, the Democratic Party is making the same mistakes on a National level as they made in Detroit and expecting different results. And that, as it has been said many times before, is the ultimate definition of stupidity.

So this happened in Massachusetts. I'm not surprised. They're the East Coast version of the Left Coast nowadays. Or is it the Left Coast of the Right Coast? Or is it "who's on first"? Fuck it! You know what I mean. Here's the story.....

One eight-year-old in Taunton just learned a valuable lesson in political correctness, and a school district may wind up learning a little something about free speech, religious expression, and not asking questions to which one does not want to hear the answers. An elementary school student was asked to draw something that reminded him of Christmas. When he drew a picture of Jesus on a crucifix, the teacher and the administration recoiled in horror at the “violent image.”

One would think that anyone, especially a teacher, who asked a subjective question would expect a subjective answer. Of course in today's Politically Correct times the answer may not always be what that very same teacher would expect - especially in a religious context. Are you surprised that an eight-year old would be wise enough to interpret or understand one of Christianity's most iconic images? This teacher was. And evidently if frightened him/her.

The main point here is an eight-year old child seemed to know that Christmas is about Christ. Apparently the teacher was unwilling or unable to grasp that simple fact. It's obvious the Teacher was looking for a secular answer to a religious question. Smells like a progressive to me.

The Thought Police in this school, as Tammy Bruce so eloquently refers to them, didn't expect a young student to draw a picture of the Crucifixion. I can't say a picture of Santa Claus or Christmas trees would probably be any more acceptable since they too have been under fire from the ACLU and other progressives for years now. I wonder if the reaction would have been the same if a Muslim student had drawn a Crescent Moon and Star if asked a similar type of question regarding Islam? My guess is no.

What's a Christian to do when asked such a question? Even a child? Draw a pretty blue ribbon and a gift wrapped box maybe? Political Correctness is infecting the USA and may someday prove to be fatal if this kind of shit keeps up. Christmas is about the birth of Christ. It's not Rocket Science. If an eight-year old child is sophisticated enough to understand this simple fact, it should be obvious to anyone with an elementary understanding of the true meaning of the Christmas Holiday.

Progressives have been bending over backwards for years in a misguided and condescending attempt to protect Islam and most things Muslim and all the while they often display contempt and disdain for Christian Holidays such as Easter, Palm Sunday, and Christmas. And in this case recoiling in horror at "violent" images of Jesus on the cross.

Once again the Dhimmi rear their ugly and PC heads. Their hypocrisy and dualism is breathtaking stupid! And I wonder if the ACLU, those guardians of religious freedom will weigh in on this one. I'm not holding my breath.

Well I'll be damned! It finally happened. You're now considered by our society an adult with all the responsibilities and privileges that go along with it. Being you're now twenty-one you can walk into a bar and order a beer or a drink. The really wonderful thing is you can't stand the idea of drinking (unlike so many of your peers). You never considered smoking. That's another plus. Thankfully, you had me as a great example of why you shouldn't smoke or drink. One is a smelly habit and both can be life altering! Thank you for not being me when it comes to my bad points.

You don't like Rock-N-Roll but instead you like Rap and Hip-Hop. I can live with that. While I like pro Boxing, you're a huge fan of WWE, and that's fine with me too. We both like the Indianapolis Colts, Peyton and Eli Manning, the Lakers, the Dodgers, and Angels. That's cool. When it comes to some things, in many ways you are me, despite my sometimes bad examples. At least you've picked up my good habits. Thank you.

With very few exceptions, just about every photo of each would-be and actual Martyr features an assortment of some of the ugliest looking guys I have ever seen. I'm talking "stop a clock" ugly. I'm talking "Haunt A House" ugly. I'm talking "Dog Shit Ugly".

With faces such as these they'd scare the Hell out of me without a belt full of bombs. No one that's as ugly as these losers could ever get laid in this life. This must explain the Islamic fantasy of 72 Virgins who await them in Paradise. Good luck on that guys. These hideous looking fuckers couldn't get laid at the Bunny Ranch in Nevada! The only pipe they're ever gonna lay is in the Oil Fields of the Middle East. And I have a sneaking suspicion they know they're bow-wows.

My guess is it will feature Southern Rock at its finest if this is how the idiots there think. Or maybe they'll have a "Pearls Of Wisdom From South Central" section featuring rappers who advocate killing the Police and beating up on "Hoe's". It's entirely possible if you take this stunningly stupid idea to its logical conclusion. Remember; I'm using their logic, not mine.

I can remember many years ago the members of the L.A. City Council taking horrible offense at the plethora of Malt Liquor ads in South Central L.A. It seems for some reason "people of color" as the Times puts it, were being targeted by advertisers because of their drinking preferences. Is the shopping guide at the Times a parallel? Isn't targeting people because of Race by its very definition racist? Or is it just clever advertising? You can't have it both ways... or can you?

Lots of bloggers are ridiculing this ridiculous idea as "racist" and condescending. My guess is (and I don't think I'm alone here) the Times will redact this terrible and patronizing shopping guide within the next few days. Martin Luther King is rolling over in his grave in disgust. BTW, rumor has it that Dr King was a ...... Republican!

In one month alone this mansion consumes more energy than the average American household in an entire year. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2,400.00 per month. In natural gas alone (which last time we checked was a fossil fuel), this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not in a northern or Midwestern "snow belt," either. It's in the South.

HOUSE # 2:Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university, this house incorporates every "green" feature current home construction can provide. The house contains only 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is nestled on arid high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in winter and cools it in summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas, and it consumes 25% of the electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Just what in the Hell is Greasywrench talking about you might ask? I'm talking about the fucking idiot Politicians in Sacramento Kalifornia. They've finally managed to kill the Goose That Laid The Golden Egg! And this ain't no Fairy Tale.

The Geese in this scenario are the Tobacco users and smokers in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia. The Golden Eggs are our tax dollars. And among the collateral damage will be the ultimate victims in Kalifornia - Women who are rationed (I.E. Denied) Mammograms due to budget shortfalls - budget shortfalls directly related to tobacco tax revenues. The link below leads to a story of vanishing revenues due to people quitting smoking - hence the budget problems. Hey, they have to blame it on someone... don't they?

And after twenty plus years of taxing us into submission, the revenues are going down and the idiots in Sacramento are now surprised that people are quitting smoking because of.... Taxes! Well fucking duhh! Just what in the hell did you Wankers up there in the State Capital think was going to happen? And yet we keep returning the same Assholes to office year after year. We do get what we deserve it seems. But Women don't deserve this!

After twelve years of bloviating on my websites I predicted this tax shortfall would eventually happen. And I'm just a lowly auto-tech as opposed to being a lawyer (as are most of our politicians). So just how did a simple wrench such as I come to this conclusion - by realizing a government can't build its tax base on a house of cards and expect to continue to collect revenue. Our Country was created because of a situation such as this in 1776. And Kalifornia isn't the only State having the exact same tobacco tax problems. Maine, Arizona, and Minnesota are also beginning to go through tobacco tax withdrawals.

As Kalifornia keeps on driving out business with unfriendly taxes and environmental laws the revenues continue to fall short. So what do the genius Politicians do but come up with fresh and ultimately more ridiculous ideas to make up for the shortcomings. They're like Locusts moving from one wheat field to another. The wheat being taxpayers. Once they've exhausted one source of revenue they move on to another. New wheat fields (Soda and Candy) are on their radar. Can you say Fat Tax? God forbid the douchebags in Sacramento make an effort to cut their budgets or (perish the thought) take a pay cut.

Regardless how one feels about smokers this should be a lesson in how government operates. Twenty-five years ago they intentionally came after smokers. Now that many smokers are quitting tobacco the greedy pigs in government will coming after the next victims. It might be you. Besides, if the government really gave a shit about your health it would outlaw smoking completely instead of trying to make tobacco taxes America's Cash Cow. They're trying to have it both ways and they think we're too stupid to realize it. This is another great example of government and its contempt for the people it's supposed to serve.

Ten years ago this was only a smokers issue and I received many emails and flames from non-smokers saying "it's not my problem" when I posted my anti-tax rants. Now that it's more than just tobacco taxes, government pick-pocketing is fast becoming all of our problems. The first step here in the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia is the rationing of Mammograms for Women. But... it won't stop there. This is just the beginning. This is a huge spiderweb with many links and strands.

As one of the Founding Fathers once said "Either We All Hang Together Or We All Hang Separately". Something like that anyway.

Hollywood - Dhimmis or Dummies? Is It Both?

This is just another in a series of stupid rants from Yours Truly & TWOG.

Last night as I watched one of my favorite old movies - "National Lampoon's Vacation" on the Bravo Channel, the nitwits in charge of programming did something that seriously pissed me off. In the scene where the Griswold Family are captured as kidnappers by SWAT teams at Wally World, Roy Wally appears and begins shouting questions at the SWAT team in rapid fire. At one point of the dialog Roy Wally asked the SWAT commander if the Griswold's were "terrorists or Arabs". Well WTF did Bravo do but censor out the words Terrorists & Arab. I know the original dialog included the word Arab & Terrorist as I've seen this movie at least fifty times. Dhimmi or Dummy?

Are the suits in charge at Bravo frightened of the words Terrorists and Arab? Now bare in mind this is the Bravo Channel. A channel that regularly promotes controversial viewpoints and lifestyles. And consider this - the word "Bravo" is Spanish for brave. I see nothing brave in Bravo's choice to censor two words out of what's obviously Political Correctness and/or fear.

It seems Bravo doesn't mind offending a majority of Americans with some of their programing and lifestyle content but apparently they are shitting their pink network panties at the usage of the simple words Terrorist and Arab. Dhimmi or Dummy?

I do realize Bravo IS a cable channel and all one has to do is grab the remote, push a button, and change channels. But - if a classic American movie can be scrubbed, all in the name of Political Correctness (or fear) by Bravo, then their attempts at being bold by promoting controversial viewpoints in their programming rings hollow. Dhimmi or Dummy?

I've also noticed that the Studios/Douchebags in Hollywood, in their zeal NOT to offend Muslims have largely quit making terrorism movies since 9/11 that featured.... Muslim Terrorists. Muslim Terrorists appearing in pre 9/11 films were quite common. But with the exception of this year's excellent Liam Neeson movie "Taken", post 9/11 films feature almost none. However it seems that Nazis and Bolsheviks (safe targets) are making quite the comeback in the post 9/11 world of Hollywood. How ironic that after Islamofacists actually carried out a horrible attack and killed thousands, Hollywood decided not to depict Muslims Fanatics as terrorists anymore. This is the Hollywood equivalent of making movies about Nazis and leaving out Germans. Dhimmi or Dummy?

In an earlier post I cited a Yahoo interview with 2012 Director Roland Emmerich where he actually confessed to fearing a Fatwa if he destroyed any Muslim images or landmarks in his films. So I pose the question again - are the nitwits in Hollywood Dhimmi or Dummy?

Or could it be they're just cowards? You make the call.

Bawney Fwank 101 - The Financial Meltdown

"No one will really understand politics until they understand that politicians are not trying to solve our problems. They are trying to solve their own problems— of which getting elected and re-elected are number one and number two. Whatever is number three is far behind.
Many of the things the government does that may seem stupid are not stupid at all, from the standpoint of the elected officials or bureaucrats who do these things.
The current economic downturn that has cost millions of people their jobs began with successive administrations of both parties pushing banks and other lenders to make mortgage loans to people whose incomes, credit history and inability or unwillingness to make a substantial down payment on a house made them bad risks.
Was that stupid? Not at all. The money that was being put at risk was not the politicians’ money, and in most cases was not even the government’s money. Moreover, the jobs that are being lost by the millions are not the politicians’ jobs— and jobs in the government’s bureaucracies are increasing.
No one pushed these reckless mortgage lending policies more than Congressman Barney Frank, who brushed aside warnings about risk, and said in 2003 that he wanted to “roll the dice” even more in the housing markets. But it would very rash to bet against Congressman Frank’s getting re-elected in 2010.
After the cascade of economic disasters that began in the housing markets in 2006 and spread into the financial markets in Wall Street and even overseas, people in the private sector pulled back. Banks stopped making so many risky loans. Home buyers began buying homes they could afford, instead of going out on a limb with “creative”— and risky— financing schemes to buy homes that were beyond their means.
But politicians went directly in the opposite direction. In the name of “rescuing” the housing market, Congress passed laws enabling the Federal Housing Administration to insure more and bigger risky loans— loans where there is less than a 4 percent down payment.
A recent news story told of three young men who chipped in a total of $33,000 to buy a home in San Francisco that cost nearly a million dollars.
Why would a bank lend that kind of money to them on such a small down payment? Because the loan was insured by the Federal Housing Administration.
The bank wasn’t taking any risk. If the three guys defaulted, the bank could always collect the money from the Federal Housing Administration. The only risk was to the taxpayers.
Does the Federal Housing Administration have unlimited money to bail out bad loans? Actually there have been so many defaults that the FHA’s own reserves have dropped below where they are supposed to be. But not to worry. There will always be taxpayers, not to mention future generations to pay off the national debt.
Very few people are likely to connect the dots back to those members of Congress who voted for bigger mortgage guarantees and bailouts by the FHA. So the Congressmen’s and the bureaucrats’ jobs are safe, even if millions of other people’s jobs are not.
Congressman Barney Frank is not about to cut back on risky mortgage loan guarantees by the FHA. He recently announced that he plans to introduce legislation to raise the limit on FHA loan guarantees even more.
Congressman Frank will make himself popular with people who get those loans and with banks that make these high-risk loans where they can pocket the profits and pass the risk on to the FHA.
So long as the taxpayers don’t understand that all this political generosity and compassion are at their expense, Barney Frank is an odds-on favorite to get re-elected. The man is not stupid.
What is stupid is believing that politicians are trying to solve our problems, instead of theirs.
As for the FHA running low on money, that is not about to stop the gravy train, certainly not with an election coming up in 2010.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation is also running low on money. But that is not going to stop them from insuring bank accounts up to a quarter of a million dollars. It would be stupid for them to stop with an election coming up in 2010."

Obama Osama Bin Laden And The NY Times

Just In: Osama Bin Laden was recently spotted squatting in front of the NY Times Building as he awaited the latest ~~leaks~~ press briefings by the Times on U.S. Military strategy in the Middle East.

Al-Queda figurehead Osama Bin Laden was recently photographed in front of the main doorway to the New York Times corporate building squatting on the ground and eating a foot-long cheese steak sandwich from Subway and enjoying a hot cup of Starbucks (Arabica of course) fresh ground coffee.

I.P. Freely, ace reporter from The World Of Greasywrench ambled up to the spiffy and smartly turbaned Al-Quead leader and engaged him in some light conversation. When Freely asked the alleged terrorist what he was up to, Osama proudly replied "I'm here to get my information on American troop movements and strategy from the New York Times. The Times is my greatest source of information". Bin Laden also added "if it weren't for Maureen Dowd and some infidel named Friedman, we'd be up shit-creek in Pakistan". "They've been wonderful sources of intel for our guys". "They should be opening the doors any minute for the latest briefings".

Bin Laden then sat down his coffee cup and loudly belched as a passing New Yorker tossed a Dollar in the cup and shouted "get a job hippy". Bin Laden growled and shot back "blow me you f***ing Infidel! Do I look like a bum"? The New Yorker then laughingly responded with a vague reference to crisply fried bacon, Osama's Mother and a goat, then continued on his way.

A spokesperson who appeared for the NY Times denied providing leaks to Bin Laden and cited the long history of the Times being on the vanguard of National Security. "All that shit about Valerie Plame, outing CIA Agents, and Daniel Ellsberg was a Fascist lie". The spokesperson claimed. "We print all the news that's fit to leak, er, I meant be read".

The Times spokesperson was then asked about the New York Times and their refusal to print the emails of the University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit and the possibility of withholding evidence about Climate Change. He responded in his best Robert Gibbs impression "Oh - that was different" and he immediately fled the area with no further comment.

Olbermann Joins Cast Of Dancing With The Tsars!

No - that's not a typo. ABC has announced a new run of dance segments in honor of the Obama administration's Tsars. Of course the new segments will highlight a Russian theme featuring.... Tsars!

The first celebrity segment will feature PMS-NBC's Keith Olbermann in full regalia. When he announced his participation Olbermann was giddy and ecstatic. Olbermann said "I feel so in touch with my feminine side when I dance". The producers of Dancing With The Tsars were not sure if they should pair Olbermann with a woman or a man for a dancing partner so they decided to match him up with Janet Napolitano. "That way, we'll be safe" said producer Seymore Butts.

In the photo on the upper left, Olby is featured wearing his favorite "Daisy Dukes" along with a keen pair of Argyle socks and a pair of his most lovely Oxford shoes for his dance segment. "The little fringe thingy was all my idea" giggled Olbermann as he hummed "I Enjoy Being A Girl", one of his favorite tunes from the motion picture "Flower Drum Song".

Olbermann was quoted by a "friend" as saying "All of this talk of teabagging has got me feeling so silly and excited. I just had to be on the show". After filming his first segment on Dancing With The Tsars Olby was last seen heading out to West Hollywood for a night of "clubbing" and zany fun.

Good luck Keith on Dancing With The Tsars. Here's a big "shout out" for Janet Napolitano too. You ~~guys~~, ~~gals,~~ folks, look great together. You're a perfect match. And since you're so obsessed with them, watch out for those Teabaggers in West Hollywood Keith or you might end up being the cup instead of the teabag!

His Hemorrhoids were acting up and he didn't pack the Preperation-H, so he wanted some fast acting relief.
Obama spotted an Oriental Cockroach and was about to step on it.
Due to rough and kinky sex with Michelle the previous night Obama couldn't straighten up.
Barack dropped a "big fat joint" and was just looking for it before the Emperor found his "stash".
Our Afghanistan war strategy was stenciled onto his shoes so Obama wouldn't forget when discussing it with the Emperor.
Without a teleprompter, his notes were cleverly sewn into the pattern of the carpet fabric so he could remember what to say.
The Presidential beans were giving him gas and he just "cut a big fat juicy fart".

The possibilities are endless and Robert Gibbs is a world class liar. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the pantloads in the White House Rose Garden spin this one. It ought to be pretty good.

Rant # 69 - Internet Explorer 8 Blows Goats!

After upgrading from Internet Explorer 7 to Internet Explorer 8 last week I figured my web browsing would be all set. Five days later and another "upgrade" from Microsoft just got rolled back to an earlier version. IMHO Explorer 8 is a total fucking dog. I was running it with XP Pro with service pack 2. Could that have been the problem? I refuse to run Windows Vista again. I used Vista for a month and rolled back to XP. To me Windows Vista is about as worthless as Windows ME

I may not have the fastest PC in the world but it isn't a Toad either. I have an AMD Athlon 64 3200 CPU that runs at 2 Gigahertz with 960 MB of DDR Ram. Not exactly a monster but it should run Explorer 8 well enough. I've had as many as three OS's running (2 versions of Windows and 1 Linux) via a boot loader and have never really had any performance issues. Multi-tasking has never been a problem either. I also keep my Windows Registry maintained and am always defragging my hard drive. Scumware, Spyware, and Viruses have not been a problem either. But - after watching my ani-gifs on this very blog crawling along and not displaying properly the last few days I decided to downgrade back to Explorer 7 and see if it cured my problems. It did.

Anyway, here's another great example of Microsoft fixing something that wasn't broken. Here's hoping the new version of Windows doesn't suffer from the same performance "issues" as their sorry-ass browser Explorer 8 seems to have. I did some Google research on the Web and found a shitload of complaints about Explorer 8 so I know the problem it isn't just me.

Thank God for monopolies or Microsoft would be out of business based on some of their applications. Bare in mind I am not one of those people who make a habit of bashing Microsoft. I really admire most of the apps, but it's no wonder the Web is so thick with Bill Gates jokes. You gotta love the old Geek though.... he keeps coming back with the same buggy, resource hogging shit over and over and look where it's gotten him.

November 10, 2009: Today is going to be a day of justice. It's been seven years coming, but John Allen Muhammad will be executed in Virginia unless granted a reprieve by Governor Tim Kaine.

There's not much more to say other than he'll die by lethal injection. That's a lot more humane than the way he executed his targets. Several surviving family members of his victims plan to be in attendance and watch this piece of trash draw his last breath. Good riddance and they can throw his body out with the rest of the garbage on pick-up day.

Larry David & Hollywood's Dhimmitude Part Deux

To anyone who doesn't know the definition of the word Dhimmitude I can give you some examples of those who personify it. Let's start with Larry David. In a recent post I ranted about Larry's cheap shot attack on a Christian target in his "Curb Your Enthusiasm" HBO television show. The actual content of the episode doesn't really matter. What matters is Larry felt it was okay to lampoon Christianity in the name of a cheap laugh. I have no problem there. This is the USA and we have very specific freedoms thanks to the First Amendment of our great Constitution. My beef is; Larry in his wildest, most perverted dreams would NEVER have the balls to do the same to Islam in today's world. That would invite a Fatwa. So much for creative freedom.

Another great example is the upcoming Sci-Fi movie 2012. It is due to be released on Friday. In a revealing Yahoo interview, director Roland Emmerich mentioned all of the world's landmarks that he has destroyed over the years in his various movies. Movies such as Independence Day, Godzilla, and The Day After Tomorrow. The subject happened to come up of destroying the Kaaba, the cube shaped structure in the Islamic holy city of Mecca. Emmerich confessed his reasons for not destroying any Islamic landmarks was the fear of a Fatwa. I guess the Vatican and other great religious landmarks can't be destroyed fast enough for Hollywood but don't dare touch Islam, even in the context of a movie or you'll have to live the rest of your life in fear of assassination.

All of this leads me to the recent slaughter of thirteen American Soldiers at Fort Hood. May their souls rest in peace but just what did they die for if we can't even get our so-called President to call their murders what they were? These murders weren't "Anger Management" issues or "Man Caused Disasters". This was Islamic terrorism and nothing more. And yet Obama urges restraint about "not drawing any conclusions" until all the "facts are in".

It was confirmed that the shooter yelled out the Muslim battle cry "Allah Akbar" several times during his rampage. It may be legally correct to not accuse Nidal Hasan of these murders but the moral aspect of calling terrorism what it is, is the right thing to do. Now when will our President be willing to do that? Thank God GWB didn't have the same lack of intestinal fortitude.

I saw a report on FOX News the other night about this HBO episode of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and then the story more or less disappeared. Evidently HBO has no problems picking on easy targets such as Christians and Jews but they wouldn't dare to run shit like this if it were about Muslims.

For the last several years we have been subjected to stories of Muslims and their outrage over perceived insults to the Koran and Islam. For the most part the Lame Stream Media have bent over (They're gonna need more Vaseline) in a lame and cowardly attempt NOT to offend the Religion of Peace. All the while, Judaism, Christianity, and some of the other great Religions of the World have been fair game for Hollywood and the far-left. It's also known as Dhimitude my friends but by any other name it's Cowardice. The article by Glazov is below.

In a recent Curb Your Enthusiasm episode, Larry David accidentally urinates on a picture of Jesus while he is a guest in someone else’s home. This, in turn, leads to a misunderstanding in which the homeowners think they have a miraculously weeping Jesus.
Some Christians are understandably upset.

Just some thoughts on what this episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm has revealed:
Are producers of this show, or Larry David, or anyone else connected to it fearing for their lives right now? Are there Christian groups calling for the death of anyone in connection to this episode?

In comparison, let us say, to the Muhammad cartoons riots and death threats, what does this say about Islam and Christianity? Which faith is a Religion of Peace and which one is not?
Would the producers of this show have just as easily allowed a scene in which Larry David urinates on a Koran? He couldn’t urinate on a picture of Muhammad because we all know that making a representation of Muhammad gets you an immediate death sentence. So we have to settle for the Holy Book. But how much does anyone want to bet that this would never be allowed?

Question: Why in our culture is urinating on Jesus easily permitted but urinating on the Koran is simply unthinkable? What does this signify? And why is it that the people who right now are rolling their eyes and saying that Christians should get a life because this is freedom of expression, the same ones who would be up in arms if Larry David had done the same thing to the Koran? They are the ones who blamed the artists of the Muhammad cartoons for provoking and upsetting Muslims. They are the ones who argue that, when it comes to the sensibilities of Muslims, free speech has limits. If Curb Your Enthusiasm had an episode in which Larry David urinated on a Koran, they would be on the front lines saying that this is Islamophobia and that we must be sensitive to the feelings of Muslims, etc. It would be deemed as hate speech. There would be lawsuits and the show would be cancelled and David’s career would be over.

HBO has come to the defense of the episode, saying that it is all about parody. Everyone needs to lighten up. So, if Larry David urinated on the Koran, would HBO tell everyone they need to lighten up because it is parody? What does it say that we know for a fact that the latter would simply never happen?
What meaning and lesson do we draw from this

A big fat Fuck You to Larry David for being a coward and picking on an easy target. The irony is apparently lost on Larry that by being Jewish, he would be among the first to lose his head in a Muslim dominated world. Not only is he a coward, but he is a stupid coward.

Palate Cleanser - Scientists Observe The Two Oldest Things In The Universe!

I am a huge Astronomy buff and often watch the programs on PBS, The Science Channel, Discovery, and National Geographic when they cover the subject. Had I been better at math, physics, chemistry, and a couple dozen other science subjects and been able to afford a hundred-thousand dollars on a Cal-Tech education I might very well have ended up an Astronomer instead of becoming the lowly auto tech I am. However, I did take an Astronomy course at the local Community College ten years ago and we had some very interesting discussions during lectures....

This morning Yahoo featured a story of a thirteen-billion old remnant of a gamma-ray burst. Since we now have more powerful visual and radio telescopes we are constantly seeing and hearing farther and farther back into the history of our Universe. I can remember asking my Astronomy Professor a question during a lecture that (at that time) I considered stupid and naive. I asked him if, as we build stronger telescopes and continue to study the stars, will we ever actually see the "Big Bang" since we are virtually peering into the past with our observations? His answer was essentially no. It has something to do with how long it actually takes the light to travel to Earth and how fast we are moving away from the "Big Bang" and center of the original explosion. Now I am starting to wonder if he was wrong?

Well that Giant of American journalism and "diplomacy", Sean Penn, is at it again. He's off to Cuba for an eye-opening interview with (hopefully) Fidel Castro. Once again, one of Hollywood's premiere Useful Idiots will allow himself to be paraded around one of the last of the World's failing Communist regimes and look to perpetuate more propaganda success stories.

As they so often do, the far-left in Hollywood (and some members of Congress) continue to grovel and be duped by Fidel Castro. These people include Danny Glover, Oliver Stone, Marxine Waters, Brian DePalma, Michael Moore..... the list of these fools goes on and on. And why is Danny Glover, who was a champion against the Apartheid system in South Africa a fan of Castro? Castro's Cuba is an extremely racist State. I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume these are reasonably intelligent people (Marxine Waters excluded) who are blinding themselves in the name of ideology. Then again a wise man once said "stupid is as stupid does".

After a lifetime of reading and seeing stories of Cuban refugees floating on inner tubes, stowing away on ships, defecting during the Olympics and other sporting events, etc..., I just don't understand the Hollywood fascination with Fidel Castro. There are far more interesting stories of bravery and desperation to be told coming from the REAL people of Cuba rather than anything the Castro Brothers have to say. A great American movie has yet to be produced telling their tales. And yet we still have fools who travel to Cuba looking for success stories when the most interesting and true successes are the stories of the people who escaped from Castro's Cuba and risked their lives to come to America. When will Hollywood tell their story?

Congrats To The Yankees

Last night the Los Angeles Angels brought a knife to a gunfight with predictable results. Too many errors and too little offense didn't get the job done. The Angels had a great season and will be back better than ever next Year. I do hope they don't panic in Anaheim and start trying to fix what isn't broken - IOW don't fire the manager and coaches. The Angles need a little more pitching and another long-ball hitter in case Vladimir Guerrero decides to head for greener pastures.

So congratulations to the NY Yankees for winning the American League Pennant. They are/were the better team and they deserve to be in the World Series.
