Hell Just Froze Over! AP Says We're Wining In Iraq!

"By ROBERT BURNS and ROBERT H. REID,

The United States is now winning the war that two years ago seemed lost. Limited, sometimes sharp fighting and periodic terrorist bombings in Iraq are likely to continue, possibly for years. But the Iraqi government and the U.S. now are able to shift focus from mainly combat to mainly building the fragile beginnings of peace — a transition that many found almost unthinkable as recently as one year ago."

Did I just eat a few magic mushrooms and hallucinate this headline? Better click on this one before it disappears. According to the Associate Press we're wining in Iraq. The article actually conveys a positive message about the conditions there now.

Psssshhhttt....don't tell Obama or the Dhimicrats....

Sadly Bush will never get any credit for it until historians digest the whole thing 20 years later. And then, still a maybe. . .

You know Toast, I think it boils down to something so simple as to why the press is so negative about Bush. They just don't like him. It's not that they're all flaming Libs (they are) but they just have a personal animosity towards him.

Now take someone like Jimmy Carter who has in recent years gained the reputation as something of an "Elder Statesman" of the Democratic party. The Lame Stream Media LOVE the guy. His term in office has to be one of the low points in the twentieth century for the U.S. but he gets a pass on damn near everything now days. Go figure.

I'm not saying Bush is/was a great President. He's made some mistakes and we all know it. But the major accomplishment of his two terms is the recognition of the Islamofascists as the danger they are to the world. Only time will tell if Historians are so kind enough to give him credit.
