Helen Thomas Is Still Alive?

Helen Thomas confirms the recent reports that Aricept does very little to stem the progress of Alzheimer's disease. Why is this fossil still given a front row seat at press conferences? She hasn't asked any meaningful questions since the Kennedy administration. She continues to embarrass herself with every appearance. In the clip featured below, she gets a gentle verbal bitch-slapping by Dana Perino. Enjoy this.

RIP Evil Knievel

Just saw this link on Hotair. Rest in peace EK. I personally enjoyed your stunts and jumps. Here's hoping you're in the great beyond riding with Dar Robinson.

MM - America's Favorite Bullshit Detector

Thanks to Michelle Malkin and many other bloggers for exposing the CNN home and garden show AKA the Republican Debate on Wednesday evening. I had doubts about one of the questioners as I posted after the debate but it took a few million other bloggers to do a simple series of Google searches to ferret out the rest of the plants. CNN, of course, is denying any culpability and is trying to blow off the whole thing as a simple error. Okay.

Jason Whitlock On The Death Of Sean Taylor

Here's a great commentary from sports columnist Jason Whitlock on the death of Sean Taylor. I agree with Whitlock one-hundred percent on what he writes. The unfortunate thing is I could never say the same things since I'm not an African-American. Too bad, but that's the way it is in our PC world. Anyway, read the following column to get an African-American's perspective on black-on-black crime and the sad death of Sean Taylor.

Update - CNN And Gardening

www.HotAir.com produced this video about presidential debates and the nursery business. I found the comments and the links quite interesting.

Another Clinton Plant

So William Bennett was right about the "gays and the military" questioner being a Clinton plant. The question was legitimate but CNN failed to identify the questioner being a Clinton Campaign worker. Shame on CNN (again) for being a lackey for one of the candidates. Seems like the Clinton News Network is an appropriate title. Maybe we should re-name the Clintons the "Gardeners" since they work with so many plants.

Poco - Good Feeling To Know

Another great blast from the past.

Republican Debate

I just finished watching, but I missed the first fifteen minutes due to dinner (I had to cook it). Anderson Cooper did a credible job of moderating. Thompson continues to disappoint me. Romney ducked far more questions than even Hillary might have. Huckabee has the momentum right now. Rudy is sticking to his guns. Ron Paul comes off a little shrill sometimes. John McCain gets the biggest (IMHO) shot with the comment on why we lost in Vietnam. Sending Hillary to Mars was another audience favorite. All in all, it was worth watching. On the post debate show William Bennett got in an interesting comment about one of the questions being from a Clinton plant. I was wondering the same thing about several of the questions. As usual, politics on both side of the aisle stink. Anyway, below is a link to youtube and the questions.

Where Are The Hollywood Nit-Wits Now?

Now that the people of Venezuela are fighting for their constitution and freedoms, where are all the usual Hollywood shit-stains who have been groveling at the foot of Hugo Chavez the last few years? Where are Sean Penn, Naomi Campbell, President Carter, Harry Belafonte, and Danny Glover? Sitting in your huge carbon footprints no doubt. Their silence is stunning. Now that a real fight for liberty has begun in earnest why don't you phony freedom proponents stand up for the people who are really being oppressed in Venezuela? How about some of the American College students who love interrupting the speeches of people with whom they disagree? You spoiled brats talk the talk, but when it comes to an actual threat to liberty, you sure as hell don't walk the walk. Chavez wants a clone government in Venezuela so now is your chance to stand up and be counted. For the people of Venezuela real freedom is at stake. BTW, I use Jasc Paint Shop Pro not Photoshop to edit pics. Adobe software is toooo costly and mostly bloatware IMHO.

More "Youths" Rioting Again In France

Before you click on the link below, I ask you, who do you think the "youths" are, that are causing all of the problems in France? One hint, you will have to read down to the fourth paragraph to find out who the "youths" really are. More Lame Stream Media P.C. reporting. BTW, riots are now officially termed "unrest". Every time I read the word "youths" in the following article I think of the movie "My Cousin Vinny" when the Judge asked Vinny, "what is a yute". Now I think I'll water my tomatoes and have a good laugh. Youths.... Jesus!

Ted Rall Award Ceremony

Political cartoonist Ted Rall was on hand at the National Society of Douche-Bags to pick up a well deserved award last week. He also was heard de-bunking rumors that he is the illegitimate brother of Microsoft founder Bill Gates. Ted flashes a big grin after receiving his well deserved award. Ted, known for his pointed political cartoons received a standing ovation from the other winners. Ted was quoted as saying "I wear this with pride". "I will do my best to live up to the legacy of our past winners". "Now, back to the drawing board".

Is George W Bush Hitler?

Is George W Bush comparable to Adolph Hitler?
For the last several years I've been hearing this comparison. I suppose anyone who makes this statement is almost certainly someone who DID NOT live through WWII. How can any rational and clear thinking American, be they Democrat or Republican, make this case? Bush may be verbally challenged, slow to catch on, a poor public speaker, a liar, and whatever else one may feel, but the Bush vs Hitler comparison is getting ridiculous. Anyone who makes such a statement, IMHO, owes an apology to the family of every Jew, Slav, Gypsy, Gay, Pole, and anyone else, murdered or otherwise destroyed by Nazi tyranny. If someone wants to insult Bush, the least they can do is stick to his numerous faults, which are fair game, and not compare him to one of the worst monsters of the twentieth century. What's really irritating is many of the same jerks calling Bush a modern Hitler are willing to give a pass to Che, Chairman Mao, Joseph Stalin, Fidel Castro, Pol Pot, Ho Chi Mihn, etc....

Where's Michael Moore?

We haven't heard from Michael since Sicko tanked and I was just wondering what he was up to. Maybe he went to Cuba for that stomach stapling surgery.

The Party Of The Wealthy

So much for stereotypes. Who is the party of the rich? Here's an interesting article and thread from www.hotair.com below.

L.A. City Council Pay Raises

Well the City Council just received another pay increase here in Los Angeles. Already the best paid city council in the U.S., they just keep getting more money for doing less work. Nothing ever changes in politics. So, in keeping with the tradition of the awards season, the pigs in the L.A. City Council get the WPOS award. Read below.

Douche-Bag Of The Week Award

Due to her sparkling responses to Laura Ingraham last night on the O'Reilly Factor, the "Useful Idiot" of the week award goes to Sunsara Taylor. While babbling some lame-ass responses to a few simple questions, Ms Taylor was only able to regurgitate the usual Communist drivel and group-think. The pathetic thing about all of these douches on the left is they have learned nothing from history. With all the real abuse of freedom that's happening in the world all they can do is recite the same old tired cliches and BS. Sunsara, pictured above, is seen accepting her award in front of local reporters. Enjoy your award Sunsara. You've earned it.

Way To Go Laura!

Laura Ingraham just gave this little "useful idiot" a taste of her own medicine while substituting for Bill O'Reilly on the no-spin zone. I doubt the young woman in the video, Sunsara Tayor, even recognized the irony since she seemed more like a puppet then someone pulling any strings. I also just visited Ms Taylor's blog and noted the lack of a comments section. Is it possible she can't stand up to any scrutiny and won't allow criticism? Is this the favorite tactic of the left these days? Trash your opponent but allow no rebuttal. Seems so. How appropriate that Laura turned the tables on her.

Kalifornia Needs Another Leftwing Nit-Wit...

like we need another earthquake. The rest of the Country already thinks we're all tree-hugging, tofu-eating jackasses as it is. Now we're importing our shit-stains. Yes, it's Cynthia McKinney moving here to run as a Green. Jesus Christ! Give us a break Cynthia! Read more below.

More John Murtha

John Murtha is at it again. Not content to accuse U.S. Marines with war crimes, now he doesn't have the stones to back up his BS in court. Read it on HotAir.com. This pig stinks to high Heaven.

MTV Arabia

MTV is going to be starting an Arabian version of their lame-ass channel in the near future. That ought to go over like a fart in Church.

MTV long ago stopped being about music and became a monument to bad taste and phony reality shows. Whatever musical credibility they once had disappeared when "Yo! MTV Raps" began playing those shitty vids. The reality in their reality (Real World, Tia Tequilla) shows took a hit when "Puck" was voted off the "Real World" many years ago for.... acting like a "real" person, complete with all the rudeness, idiocy, and prejudice that real people actually possess.

The Muslim men in the Arab world will just love seeing trashy women (Tia Tequila) telling grown men what to do. The ironic thing is MTV promises to be culturally sensitive and respectful to Muslims. Too bad they don't give a shit about good taste and not offending anyone here in the Western world. I guess that's all you can expect from a show whose demographic is the ten to fifteen-year old boy. This ought to be a farce.

Damn Marine Layer

Well the marine layer has returned again after a mini heat-wave. My garden is cursed. Damn Los Angeles weather. Santa Ana winds are also due back in a couple of days. Pray for no fires. The last ones were disastrous. I've got some squash and Brussels sprouts seedlings up also. I don't expect the squash to do very well but seeds are cheap and this is Kalifornia. I do expect some nice sprout though. I grew them about twelve years ago and they ended up looking like trees. Anyway, what have I got to lose? All the garden forums say don't grow corn in buckets because it doesn't do well. Well, corn does grow well in containers. I know because I grow it.

Leonid Shower Tonight

Tonight the Leonid meteor shower should peak. I remember about five or six years ago seeing quite a few meteors while watching with my daughter. It was really cool and something to see. Check out the link below.

Pole Beans

I picked my first pole beans today. They look a little pithy. I don't know if it's the time of year, lack of sun the last few weeks or what. The fires we had here in Kalifornia three weeks ago left a nasty dusting on the leaves that may have harmed them. I guess I'll wait and see what the next batch look like. I usually pick for about a month before the plants give it up. I had a couple of squash seeds germinate this week also. I got a Brussels Sprout plant started too. So many seeds and so little time.

Hannity and Colmes

I'm watching H&C right now and as usual Alan Colmes is making an ass out of himself. He asks a question of Pat Caddell, doesn't get the answer he wants so he changes the subject. He's painful to watch. Pat Caddell is probably one of the most impartial Dem's on the web along with Juan Williams.

When the questions got to last night's Democratic debate, Caddell offered some interesting analysis. I watched about ten minutes of the debate last night and grew tired of the evasive answers. It was comical watching all the candidates dance around the NAFTA questions. One question was "Did you support NAFTA when it was enacted during the Clinton administration?" It was hilarious watching the Democrats tap dance around the question. Just too damn funny. No wonder people don't respect Politicians of any party.

Why Is Ward Churchill Still Lecturing?

Why does Ward Churchill continue to lecture at the University of Colorado? He's a proven fraud and plagiarist. He's been repudiated by the very Indian tribe he claims membership in, yet he continues to claim to be a Native American. He does this all the while disdaining "poodle papers", his term for official tribal documents. David Horowitz raises a few questions on Fox.

Sharpton Alert And The Jena Six

This link showed up on Michelle Malkin's site today. Just what the hell is going on in Jena. Al Sharpton and some of the other race extortionists are going to be marching in D.C. soon and I wonder if these idiots will have anything to say about this. Don't hold your breath. This money is going to get pissed away by these freaking thugs.

http://michellemalkin.com/2007/11/12/where-did-all-the-jena-6-money-go/

No, It's Not Pot. They're Cherry Tomatoes

After a week of the marine layer it finally got hot again here in San Pedro. My pole beans are rocking and my cherry tomatoes are still hanging in there. I also had two more seedlings break the surface this week also. Damn thing is I'm not sure if they're Brussels sprouts I just planted or the straight-neck squash I gave up on ten days ago. Anyway, it looks like I'll be picking beans in the next three or four days. The photo on the left is from three days ago.

Democratic War Strategy

Cartoon of the day below. Found it on Michelle Malkin's site.
